Safety, trust & environment

While I do not board at my apartment, I am always happy to stay at a clients home to dog/cat sit. I try to give them as much love as possible and make them comfortable with me in their space.

Information Mia S. would like to know about your pet

I would like to know how strong the dog is. I am a violinist, and because of this my wrists and fingers a fairly fragile (the strain of playing leaves them a bit weak). Thus, my hands can only handle so much pulling from an excited dog. If I don’t feel capable of keeping the dog safe or myself, I will alert the owner immediately so they can find someone that is a better fit.

A typical day

My current apartment is very close to a park, where I can take your dog to walk as well as visit the small dog park on the corner. I love a good long walk to get some sun and exercise while spending good time with animals

Pets

I truly love caring for animals :)

Pet care experience

My family has always been taking care of animals. We’ve been fostering kittens and dogs for as long as I can remember. We are currently members of the French bulldog Resuce Network. I have volunteered at several animal shelters back in kentucky, where I lived before coming to NYC for college. Most of the animals we’ve taken care of have had their fair share of issues, but we love them just the same. We’ve also fostered this little Aussie that was so cute!! I actually used to want to be a vet because I love helping animals in need. I am a very fast walker if needed, so I would make sure that the dog got their exercise. I also don’t mind if it’s raining :) I’m hoping to walk as many dogs as I can. I can also bring plastic bags from grocery shopping so no need to supply

Mia was great! She took great care of my cat practically and emotionally. He usually gets super lonely and mad while I'm out of town, and screams at me for a couple DAYS when I get back — but this trip, none of that! She clearly spent tons of quality time with him. Mia left the house in great shape too.
