My experience as a Guide Dogs for the Blind puppy raiser required me to safely handle dogs while exposing them to a wide variety of situations and environments, all while monitoring body language and behavior, providing consistent positive reinforcement, and building trust through clear communication. Getting the opportunity to help raise the next generation of service dogs gave me a deeper understanding of how to keep dogs safe, engaged, and happy while adapting to each one’s unique personality and drive. I take pride in my ability to notice subtle dog behaviors that indicate such things as stress or discomfort and respond appropriately to ensure a positive experience.

Safety, trust & environment
I am comfortable and have worked with all breeds and sizes and have had dogs and cats all my life and know what to look out for if something is wrong. I don't have any pets of my own at the moment so no worries if your pet is not good with other animals! I take the safety of the animal in my care very seriously and treat them as if they are my own!

I’ve known Mia my entire life. She is the most genuine, loving, energetic and endlessly dedicated person I know! Mia LOVES animals and she is especially gifted with dog training — I remember she raised and trained multiple Guide Dogs for the Blind in high school. Honestly I think my dogs have learned more from her than me. I can’t think of someone I’d trust more with looking after my own pets than Mia!
Mia took excellent care of my sweet but timid Chihuahua mix, Coco, during several of my vacations. I was able to relax knowing Coco was in such good hands. Mia stayed on top of her feeding and walking schedules, and gave her all the extra love and attention she craves. She also sent regular photo updates, which put my mind at ease while I was away. Mia is incredibly kind, gentle, and reliable. She is a great communicator, easy to work with, and clearly loves what she does. I highly recommend her to take care of your fur babies!
Mia is truly one of those rare people who animals instantly trust. She is caring, compassionate, responsible, and incredibly reliable. Raised with dogs, she has a lifetime of experience and a natural, special way with them. Mia gained experience training dogs while helping to raise two guide dog puppies through Guide Dogs for the Blind in San Rafael, CA. She genuinely loves all animals and treats every dog as if they were her own. Dogs respond so well to her calm, confident energy, and it’s clear how much joy she gets from caring for them. Any pet in Mia’s care will be safe, loved, and well looked after. I couldn’t recommend her more highly to anyone looking for someone they can truly trust with their furry family member. Schedule
I am currently working only part time so I have plenty of time to play with your pups and give them all of my time and energy! I also have reliable car for transportation.
