I already spend part of my week walking dogs for a friend, and it’s one of my favorite parts of the day. Since I work from home, I’ve got plenty of flexibility for walks, hikes, playtime, and all the tail wags and happy zoomies your pet needs! Let me know what YOU prefer for your fur baby. (:

I’m more than happy—and honestly, I prefer—to come to you! It gives me a nice break during my workday and lets me spend quality time with your pet in their own space. I’m great at reading animal behavior and body language, and I have experience caring for pets with special needs (I had my own), as well as handling aggressive behavior, food aggression, nervousness (I’ve fostered pups with these challenges), training, crate training, and more. Just let me know what your pet needs, and I’ll adapt to make them comfortable and happy!
Information Mia P. would like to know about your pet
Before I watch your pup, it’s helpful to know a few things so I can give them the best care possible: • Triggers – Loud noises, other dogs, certain situations, or anything that makes them anxious. • Routine – Meal times, walk schedule, bedtime habits, and any “must-do” parts of their day. • Special needs – Medications, health concerns, or mobility issues. • Happy places – Parks, walking routes, or spots they love to visit. • Favorite things – Toys, games, or treats that make their tail wag. • Food behavior – Any signs of food guarding or aggression. • Social style – How they interact with other dogs, kids, or strangers. The more I know about your dog’s personality and preferences, the more I can make their time with me feel just like home.
A typical day
A typical day with me is all about keeping your pup happy, active, and loved. I take dogs everywhere I can — just like I do with my own — whether that’s a Starbucks run for a pup cup, a quick store trip, or a little shopping adventure. We’ll go for walks (maybe even a couple a day, depending on your dog’s energy level), and if they’re up for it, we can visit the dog park or even hit a hiking trail. In between outings, I’m all about cuddles, playtime, and keeping up with any training you’ve started — using treats for mental stimulation and consistency. At the end of the day, your fur baby will have had plenty of exercise, affection, and attention.

Pet care experience
When I wasn’t with my horse or loving on my own pets, I was the go-to pet sitter for family and the neighborhood dog walker for anyone who needed an extra hand. I’ve had animals in my life for as long as I can remember—including my sweet puppy Blossom, who was in a wheelchair and had hydrocephalus (water on the brain). She needed round-the-clock care, and I was there for every moment, so I understand how much love, patience, and attention pets deserve—especially those with special needs. I’m caring, loving, and endlessly patient, and I promise to treat your fur baby like my own. Whether it’s a walk, a cuddle, or a good old-fashioned game of fetch, I look forward to being the reason your pet can “smile” during the day… even if I have to make silly faces or use my best squeaky-toy voice to do it! Lol.
Reviews
To whom it may regard, I’ve known Mia since she was 11 years old, and not one bit am I surprised that she wants to pursue a career path in animal care. She has always been so sweet and kind to my two late Shih Tzu’s and my now Basset Hound. She even shared a few memories of a Shih Tzu she had when she was a little girl! Mia is such a sweet person and cares for these animals like nobody’s business! You’ll be lucky to have such a wonderful girl like her on your team! -Mary C Martin
Mia not only is an AMAZING dog mom, but she is also an amazing pet caregiver to my fur babies! She’s taken care of my dog and cats while I’ve not been able to for various reason. Mia interacts with the animals so graciously. Mia makes my separation-anxiety ridden pit bull feel at home, and when my fur babies need medicine, she’s right there on schedule, almost better than I am some days! Mia allows my life to be so swift and flawless by helping me with pet care. I know I could trust Mia with my pets’ lives. She’s just as much family as any of us in my home.
I highly recommend Mia Phillips for pet sitting and dog walking services. Mia has cared for my shih tzu, Punkin, on numerous occasions, both for daily walks and extended pet sitting. She has consistently provided excellent care, showing kindness, reliability, and genuine affection for my dog. Punkin absolutely adores Mia, and I have always felt at ease knowing she is in Mia’s hands. Mia is dependable, trustworthy, and clearly has a natural way with animals. I would gladly recommend Mia to anyone in need of a caring and responsible pet sitter or dog walker. She has my full confidence and appreciation.
Mia did an amazing job babysitting my two fur babies, Kovu and King. She was so gentle and attentive with them, making sure they were well-fed on time and got their proper outside time every day. She kept the litter box spotless and ensured my home stayed clean, with no damage to any furniture. I felt completely at ease knowing they were in such caring and responsible hands! 💖
