I grew up caring for a high-energy Jack Russell Terrier, which taught me the importance of patience, consistency, and plenty of activity. For the past 8 years in Seattle, I’ve cared for friends’ dogs and cats of various breeds and personalities. I’m experienced with administering medication and making sure pets have everything they need to stay healthy and comfortable. I’ve also worked with stubborn dogs who aren’t always fans of walks, so I know how to adapt and meet pets where they’re at. Most importantly, I make sure every pet gets lots of attention and feels safe, relaxed, and loved while in my care!

Mia is a great communicator: always sending photos, asking questions, and providing updates, so I never had to worry while I was away. A typical day
When I’m watching pets, I love making sure they’re not just cared for, but genuinely having fun and feeling comfortable. I tailor activities to each pet’s energy level and personality. For dogs, that might include engaging walks, playtime with favorite toys, light training or enrichment games, and plenty of affection and downtime. For cats, I focus on interactive play, window watching, gentle grooming (if they enjoy it), and creating calm, cozy spaces so they feel safe and relaxed.

- I like to learn as much as possible about a pet’s routine and needs ahead of time. Important things to know include their daily schedule, feeding instructions, walk or play preferences, and any medical needs or medications. I also appreciate knowing about behavioral quirks, triggers, fears, or reactivity, as well as how they interact with other pets and people
