I am very attentive and personable with cats! I don't see them as clients, but like one of my own. Being around them is truly one of the greatest joys of my life. 💚 The basics like cleaning litter boxes and administering medication are a given, simple, easy to do. I clip nails, give topical and oral medicine, and understand both the importance of not stressing a cat out and how to avoid doing so. I understand the psyche of cats and what it takes to earn their trust, like slow blinks, cautious movement, gentle voices, and treats! I'm known for getting anxious cats to feel safe and comfortable with me, just as I did with fostering. Respecting their space, honoring their independence, and treating them like the little people they are. 🐾 If your cat is known to be stressed around strangers, I also recommend a Feliway plugin, it works wonders! I always have your cat's best interest at heart.

I often approach quietly and confidently, squat down to their level and offer my hand to sniff. I give them time to adjust to my smell and my presence so I don't scare them and they're not stressed with me around. I'm good at reading animal's body language to determine how they feel. Of course allowing them time and space to adjust is important, I know not to expect tons of friendliness and affection from the getgo, and sometimes this never get to that point, and that's okay! I will respect their boundaries.

Mia stayed with our two kittens for 10 days and cared for them very well. She also scooped the litterbox, took out the trash, and refilled the autofeeder. She sent daily pictures of the cats, which we really appreciated. Mia is a great cat sitter!!!
Mia stayed with our somewhat peculiar kitty family for 5 nights. We have a 16, 5 and 2 year old. The 5 year old doesn't like my little old lady and can be very aggressive towards her which is scary. We have a special set up for her to keep her safe and happy. Mia came home a couple of days before our trip to really understand the living situation and how to keep her safe. She sent pictures and my Orange Tabby was loving cuddles with Mia. Mia kept the house super clean which is very appreciated We already have Mia sheduled for 2 more trips.
Mia is really awesome with our cats. It’s good to know that the cats are taken good care of while you’re traveling!
Mia was great! Very sweet with our kitties, and took great care of our house. She sent pictures, let us know how each of the cats were adjusting, cleaned up after a couple of incidents, and generally made us feel like our babies were well taken care of. Mia was responsive and a great communicator.

Schedule
I work remotely and am able to work from my laptop from anywhere, as long as I can get good internet and a place to plug in my laptop (: I prefer staying over as compared to drop-ins so they can get used to my presence, and it definitely saves on gas and commute stress!
