We had Mia watch our pets while we were out of the country which makes for more anxious separation. Mia was great about checking in and giving status reports and pictures. Very comforting. We would definitely recommend Mia as she checked all the expectation boxes and then some!

Mia has stayed with and taken care of our terrier mix, Sunny, a few times now and taken wonderful care of our little guy. She diligently walks him, even taking him on a special field trip one day to a local park for an extended fun walk. Sunny clearly loves her and trusts her — which is a lot, since he can be prickly with strangers and needs a good amount of time to warm up to folks. Mia was great about making sure Sunny had his meds and we noted that he was well-fed and happy upon our return from a 10 day trip. I recommend Mia with highest marks — a very kind, sweet, responsible dog lover.

Schedule
I’m a student and work part-time (4 hour shifts and usually 3 days a week), so my schedule is pretty flexible! I have a lot of free time, and in the fall I’ll be back to studying. So I’ll be present and attentive, and only out of the house for a few hours during the day. Especially with it being summer, I’ve had so much time off and love spending it outside.

Safety, trust & environment
Some dogs that I’ve watched over have been prone to getting out, so I’m used to being attentive to avoid that. I never leave a door unlocked! I also like to leash them up before leaving the house. But some dogs I’ve sat for have been okay sitting outside unleashed! Either is fine with me, just let me know! I love dogs with special needs just the same, and have experience giving them oral medication. I feel very empathetic for dogs with anxiety, and I try my best to create an environment that makes them comfortable. I can step back when they need some alone time, or be by their side all the time if they need that too. You also don’t have to worry about the state of your house! I leave no trace! I frequently clean, and will take care of the dishes and trash before you come home! Also I’ve cleaned up lots of poop and pee in my day, so I don’t mind if your dog is prone to accidents.
A typical day
If the dog is comfortable in a car, I like taking them to cool nature spots for them to explore and sniff! I also love playing tug of war and running around in the backyard with them! On the other hand, I also enjoy just hanging out with them and watching movies if you have a couch potato. I myself love a tasty snack, so if I’m allowed, I will spoil your dog with delicious pet-safe treats!
