Pet care experience

Can I pet that dawg?!?! ☺️

What sets me apart as a pet sitter is the level of structure, reliability, and one-on-one care I provide. As a retired Army veteran, I bring discipline, consistency, and calm leadership to every pet I care for. I only accept one dog at a time, which means each pet receives my full attention, personalized care, and a quiet, stress-free environment. My home has no children, minimal visitors, and a well-behaved resident dog, creating a peaceful and safe space for pets who may be shy, older, or need extra reassurance. I am hands-on, attentive, and treat every dog like family, making sure their routines, comfort, and safety come first. This individualized approach and dependable care truly set me apart from other sitters.

Mia was wonderful with our little Paco. Couldn't have asked for a better sitter. Kept us updated with videos and pictures of how he was doing. I highly recommend Mia for anyone looking for a pet sitter.

Schedule

Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. As a retired Army veteran living in my own home, I have the time, structure, and dedication to give animals consistent attention and a stable environment. I genuinely love animals, so caring for them—whether through feeding, walking, play, or companionship—is an enjoyable and meaningful part of my everyday life.

Safety, trust & environment

I provide a safe and structured environment for pets in my home. Although I do not have a fenced yard, all outdoor time is closely supervised, and dogs are always walked on a secure leash. Inside, the home is clean, calm, and free of hazards, with no children and no multiple visitors to create stress or distractions. I only care for one dog at a time, ensuring each pet receives my full attention and individualized care. I also have one friendly resident dog who is well-behaved and properly introduced to any visiting pet. Safety, comfort, and routine are my top priorities in creating a reliable and peaceful space for every dog I look after.

A typical day

A typical day of dog sitting in my home is calm, structured, and centered around keeping each dog safe, comfortable, and happy. I start the morning with a quick wellness check—making sure the dog is eating well, has fresh water, and is ready for a nice walk or outdoor potty break. Since I only care for one dog at a time, each pet gets my full attention and plenty of one-on-one interaction. Throughout the day, I follow the dog’s usual routine as closely as possible. This includes feeding on their normal schedule, playtime, short walks, and lots of affection. If a dog enjoys toys, enrichment, or training activities, I work those into the day to keep them mentally stimulated. Because I don’t have children in the home and I have just one friendly resident dog, the environment stays quiet and low-stress. Safety is always the priority. Since I don’t have a fenced yard, all outdoor time is controlled—leash walks, supervised potty breaks, and secure handling every time we go outside. Inside the home, I maintain a clean, pet-safe space where the dog can relax on comfy bedding or lounge near me as I go about my day. Evenings are spent winding down with cuddles, a final walk or potty break, and making sure the dog settles in comfortably for the night. My goal every day is to provide a peaceful, loving atmosphere where each dog feels at home, cared for, and completely safe.
