Your dogs new best friend!!
My parents used to joke that I was a dog in another life and honestly, they are right. I’ve been caring for dogs of all sizes since I was about 10 years old, and animals have always felt like home to me. I grew up dog-sitting for friends, family, and neighbors, often caring for multiple dogs at once (5+ at a time), and I have yet to meet a dog I didn’t adore—or one that didn’t quickly warm up to me. My own dog, an 11-year-old, 35-lb rescue who lives with my family in Boston, is truly my best friend and greatest teacher. Through him and the many dogs I’ve cared for, I’ve learned that every dog has a unique personality, communication style, and set of needs. I’m patient, attentive, and deeply respectful of each dog’s routines, boundaries, and preferences—whether that means high-energy play, slow senior strolls, or plenty of quiet companionship. Professionally, I work as a humpback whale biologist, where trust, patience, and calm presence are essential! After all, humpback whale mothers trust me around their calves and I bring that same level of care, awareness, and responsibility to every animal I look after. Your dog’s safety, comfort, and happiness are always my top priorities. I’d be honored to care for your furry best friend and give them the same love, attentiveness, and respect I give my own.

Mia took wonderful care of my two 11yo Newfoundlands. She left the house in great condition and the dogs were clearly well loved (maybe a few extra cookies😉). Mia communicated well, especially with a few timing and schedule changes. Daisy and Lily will definitely welcome her back.
Mia was fantastic! She took great care of our sweet Ellie & Moo and I knew from the moment we met that they were in great hands. She sent daily updates and pics giving us peace of mind while being away. I will definitely be rebooking her for my future travel.
Mia watched Cavalli for 2 nights in our home. She kept him healthy and happy and our home nice and clean! She was very communicative and Cavalli loved her ! She’s an amazing sitter !!! :)
Mia is not only a wonderful caretaker, dog lover, and animal advocate. She is also one of the best communicators I have found on Rover, which can be an overlooked skill on this app! She is always sure to keep you updated throughout the day and has no problem sending as many puppy pictures as you need :) Did I mention that Mia told me she used to help rescue sea turtle hatchlings & she does Humpback Whale research! So she definitely knows how to genuinely take care of animals! 5 out of 5 ⭐️ My Rottweiler, Mazi, absolutely loved Mia and I know who I will be reaching out to next time I’m out of town for the weekend again!
For the past 6 months, I have regularly hired Mia for dogwalking and housesitting. I have 2 large breed dogs (1 bullmastiff, 1 Great dane) and she has been great with them. She is a respectful house guest when she stays while my husband and I are on vacation. We are able to relax more fully knowing that the dogs are taken care of by someone we trust. One dog takes a daily pill, and Mia has never had an issue administering it. She also cares for my house plants. She is excellent!
Mia was absolutely incredible in watching our cat! She is dependable, has great attention to small details, and kept us updated throughout the week on how our cat was doing. We highly recommend Mia for pet sitting! She will make the greatest effort with your pets and make sure not only that your pets are well taken care of, but will go above and beyond in everything she does!

Schedule
I am current a graduate student at Umiami and have a class schedule of only Tuesday - Thursday with Saturday classes as well! Other than that, I can make any over night, morning, evening or most daytime walks and time's work!
Where your pet will stay
Safety, trust & environment
My own house has a fenced yard and one other major animal lover! We keep the house very clean and make it pet safe as we have friends who's pets visit often! We have a gated home as well, meaning multiple series of locks for safety.
A typical day
The day is tailored to your dogs needs! We'll take long walks if your pups like them, play lot's of games, and just hangout :) always happy to be a companion!
