I am a big dog lover and could use some extra love around (extra income is nice too). I think there are no creatures more pure and sincere than dogs, so this is a dream side-gig! I work in tech alternating days at home and on campus. I have two older chihuahuas who like company but for the most part, mind their own business and sleep an unreasonable amount of time, unless there is crazy rowdiness going on. In my care your pet will be treated as family, with lots of love, attention, play time entertainment and personalized care. This is not a “high traffic business” I take two dogs maximum, only if I am 100% confident personalities match well (or they are from the same family). Most often, I care for only one guest pup. You will receive regular photo and video updates to show you how your pup is doing. Best of all, your pup will be excited to return next time you bring them, which I take as the best compliment :). As a “dog mom” I can only imagine how difficult it is to leave your “baby” with someone, without them being able to tell you how it’s going - I am here to offer you that peace of mind.

Mia was absolutely amazing with my two dogs! She showered them with nothing but love and care. I really appreciated the daily updates—she went above and beyond sending both pictures and videos. Being able to see my fur babies happy every day truly helped ease my stress and anxiety while I was away. It gave me so much peace of mind knowing they were in such loving hands. I couldn’t recommend Mia enough to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and caring to look after their pets!
This is the 2nd time Mia has looked after Zeke, and we couldn’t be happier. She’s very gentle, caring and sent us tons of updates throughout. She’s organized and clean, and very pleasant to talk to. She was accommodative of Zeke’s marking tendencies (since he’s not neutered) and even washed the reusable diapers we had provided. Zeke had an accident one night due to an upset stomach and that created quite a mess in Mia’s house, but she was nothing but polite and understanding (we’re very sorry for it). She checked Zeke, provided us insights so we could decide on whether to take him to a vet urgently, and cleaned him up and soothed him so he was comfortable. Zeke also had a lot of fun with Kimmy, Kyle and other pups and came back happy! Would 10/10 recommend Mia, we always go on our trips worry free when Mia’s looking after Zeke!

Schedule
I am working a hybrid achedule, every other day I work from home, every other day in office 9-5. I take the dogs out for walks in the morning and in the evening on office days, and multiple times throughout the day when I am working from home. So, my setup and schedule are ideal for dogs that require moderate to low level of exercise and space and are comfortable spending a significant amount of time indoors.

Safety, trust & environment
I will take care of your dog like my own and follow your instructions. I will only give your pup the food and treats you provide, I will give your pup meds as scheduled (if needed) and will give lots of play, love, back scratches and belly rubs during down times. My yard is not fully fenced, so I do not have doggie doors and I take them outside on leash only. In good weather I may use 50’ tether to have your pup hang out in the yard with me and my dogs while I’m doing yard work, if it looks like something your pup would enjoy. We have a great expansive area in our neighborhood where we go on our regular walks.

A typical day
We play fetch, and hide and seek (peekaboo). Let me know if your pup has a favorite game and we will make sure to integrate it into our time.
