Pet care experience
Your pup will play when you're away
Hi! I’m a student at Concordia and am a huge animal lover. I’m doing this because I miss my pets back home and would love to have a dog (or cat!) around to play with. I've taken care of dogs and cats for the past 9 years as my family has 2 large dogs and 3 cats. I was also responsible for caring for the horses and chickens we’ve had over the years. I've also walked friends' dogs for the past 3 years simply because I enjoy it! I took both of my family dogs to their puppy training classes and we go on daily hikes when I'm home. I have experience with reactive dogs, anxious dogs and resource guarding. I’m able to work to meet each pet's specific needs.

Qualifications
Ratings and reviews
Highly attentive, gentle, exceptionally compassionate, and reliable. These are all words we would use to describe Mia. I’m not the type to speak badly about my dog, but he is a rescue pitbull and can be reactive. Mia followed every single rule given and created a safe and calm environment for him. Within just a few minutes, he was surrounded by people who care about animals as much as she does. Mia also cared for my dog for several days in a row, and her consistency, patience, and professionalism truly showed. I wouldn’t just recommend Mia to take care of your dog. I can confidently guarantee a perfect service.

Caring, loving, professional and more is Mia with Bianca❤️🐩 Big thank you!

Mia is amazing with our reactive shepherd. She is so intune with Juno she corrects the behavior before it even happens! Our house is peaceful with Juno getting regular walks with Mia as she is so much calmer in the house. In addition, Mia is personable and reliable and her overall animal knowledge and passion is an asset. I highly recommend Mia for all dog types.

Schedule
I am currently a part time student, so my schedule is pretty open. When I'm not in class I’m able to be at home with the dog, and usually, if I am out one of my two roommates (both avid dog lovers) are home, so pets are rarely left alone. Im able to keep up with their daily routine with scheduled feeding and walking. I like to get up and go to bed around the same time most nights so there is some structure around daily routines.

Home characteristics
Safety, trust & environment
Since I don't have a fenced-in yard, I will take them out for multiple daily walks and play with them in the house. I make sure to not leave items or food around that they could get into, and I’m never on my phone during dog walks. If they are allowed treats, I like to engage them in training on the walks. They are allowed on the furniture and I have two roommates who will equally show them lots of love and attention.
A typical day
Im able to walk your dog multiple times a day and can take them to the different parks in my area. I sometimes go on runs with the more energetic dogs and play mentally stimulating games as well. Feel free to pack some of their toys with them as I have space to play fetch and tug of war inside!
