Pet care experience

Trustworthy Care from a Pup Mom!

I’ve cared for dogs for over 8 years, including my own who has chronic pancreatitis. I’m comfortable with special diets, medication, and senior dog care. I treat every dog like family—patient, loving, and attentive to their individual needs. Whether your pup is high-energy or needs a gentler pace, I’ll provide safe, thoughtful care tailored just for them. Before getting my own dog at 19, I grew up in a home that always had two dogs. Helping care for them was a constant part of my life and taught me the responsibility, empathy, and joy that comes with loving animals. Additionally, I’ve been volunteering at Hallie Hill Animal Sanctuary, which has deepened my experience with dogs of all breeds and backgrounds.

Pets

Safety, trust & environment

When caring for pets in their own home, I prioritize safety, routine, and comfort. I follow all instructions closely—from feeding schedules to preferred walking routes—and make sure your pup feels secure while you're away. I always respect your space, keep things clean, and treat your home and pet with care and kindness. My goal is to maintain a calm, trustworthy presence so your dog stays happy and stress-free in their familiar environment.

Mia has been a dog owner her entire life. She is kind, caring, and extremely diligent when it comes to caring for her pets. She rescued her current dog several years ago, cared for him, and brought him back to being an extremely happy and healthy dog. She spends plenty of time making sure he gets adequate exercise, both on long walks and in her large backyard. As a dog owner myself, I would confidently have Mia care for my dog any time. Any dog lucky enough to spend time with Mia would be extremely happy and well cared for.

Schedule

I'm currently in graduate school, which gives me a flexible schedule to care for your pups! I'm available for walks and in-home visits on Tuesdays, Fridays, and some weekends (just ask about weekend availability). I make pet care a priority and will always treat your dog with the same love and attention I give my own.

Before caring for your pet, it’s important for me to know if they need any medications, have specific dietary needs, or require any special care. I also want to understand your dog’s temperament—whether they’re anxious, especially when meeting new people, or if they’re more laid-back and social. If your dog tends to get nervous or shy, I can be extra patient and give them time to adjust to my presence. Knowing their history helps me understand their behaviors, so I can make them feel as comfortable as possible. It’s also helpful to learn about their favorite activities, any toys or games they love, and their usual routine so I can keep things as familiar as possible for them.
