I’ve been a trusted Rover sitter since 2017 & have cared for pets across Long Beach, Washington DC, San Diego, and Sacramento. I’m experienced with dogs of all sizes, puppies, cats, & pets with special needs (including blindness + mobility support). I’m based in Downtown Sacramento & my schedule allows for a high level of care & presence: - Wednesday–Sunday: I’m home full-time with your pet - Monday–Tuesday: I’m away 8AM–5PM, but offer complimentary 20 minute lunch dropins as needed, and then am back with your pet from 5:30PM-onward. Outside of work hours, I’m fully present for overnight care, walks, pets, & companionship.

I am very conscientious about adhering to your animals needs, whether it's extra walks or giving them medication at specific times. I love all breeds & want to ensure that your animal is properly cared for while you're away! Besides that I'm active & more than happy to go on long walks with your pup. I always make sure to communicate with the client when I enter & exit their home and send pictures & videos that reflect the doors are locked and everything for the pets has been taken care of. I communicate frequently with my clients by sending picture & video updates twice a day during feeding times as well as photos of the pets living life and being cute throughout the day.

I'd like to know whether your dog is aggressive with other dogs or to dogs of other gender, any triggers for the animals, and whether they require medication.
A typical day
I love to make sure your dogs are energized and well walked! Love to play ball with them as well. Dogs or cats (or any other animals) will always receive maximum love and attention from me! I defer to the client to let me know what their pets love language is, and then we go from there. 🐶🐈

Meryl took care of my two dogs overnight and did an excellent job. She kept me updated with numerous photos and it was clear my dogs felt comfortable with her. I would definitely hire her again.
Meryl watched our two large dogs while we were on vacation. She was very communicative and kept us updated on how they were doing. One had some tummy issues and she let us know right away and we were able to come up with a plan to help her feel better. I could tell the dogs were happy and loved while we were gone.
