I work part-time and locally, so have plenty of time to visit and care for your furry family members! I am available for dog-walking and other drop in visits Monday through Saturday.

If there is anything in particular you would like me to know about your best friend, including any personality, behavior, or health concerns/needs, please don't hesitate to let me know! All dogs are unique and have different needs, preferences, and personalities, and I look forward to getting to know yours. I have experience with dogs of many different personalities and behavior styles, from the shyest to the most boisterous. I have worked with timid rescues, friendly giants, and dogs with many different reactivity levels and loved each and every one, so don't be shy if your dog has any special needs!
A typical day
I love planning enrichment activities! Please let me know if your dog has any favorite toys or activities we can incorporate into our visits! Some of my favorites are fetch games with a little but of basic obedience sprinkled in for mental stimulation, scent tracking, and making enrichment boxer (or using premade enrichment games). I'm very active and enjoy walking with dogs who have all kind of walking styles, from dogs who need a gentle amble, to frequent stop-and-sniff explorers, to high energy dogs that love to go go GO! We can visit parks to explore new scenes, or stick to your dogs favorite places!

Hello! My name is Merritt, and I've loved dogs, cats, and other animals since I was a small child. As an adult, I have spent two years working for a local pet supply store, three years working for a local dog daycare and boarding facility, and two years in a veterinarian's office. I also have my own beloved family pets (a senior pit mix, an Australian shepard/poodle mix, and a very large cat). I am an experienced walk-taker, ball-thrower, treat-giver, and dog and cat lover in general! I have worked with dogs and cats of all shapes, sizes, breeds, and ages both personally and professionally. In the fall I will be starting a veterinary technician program so that I can spend even more time with animals! I am excited to meet your fuzzy best friends, learn their needs and preferences, and become their friend too!

Merritt is so good with our elderly cat. They giver lots of love and give detailed reports of how she did during their visit. We’ve booked them twice now and wouldn’t hesitate to book them again, if we weren’t moving out of the state! Merritt gives our cat her meds with ease and even brings in packages when left at the door while we are out. Highly recommend booking Merritt!
