Hello! My name is Merritt, and I've loved dogs, cats, and other animals since I was a small child. As an adult, I have spent two years working for a local pet supply store, three years working for a local dog daycare and boarding facility, and two years in a veterinarian's office. I also have my own beloved family pets (a senior pit mix, an Australian shepard/poodle mix, and a very large cat). I am an experienced walk-taker, ball-thrower, treat-giver, and dog and cat lover in general! I have worked with dogs and cats of all shapes, sizes, breeds, and ages both personally and professionally. In the fall I will be starting a veterinary technician program so that I can spend even more time with animals! I am excited to meet your fuzzy best friends, learn their needs and preferences, and become their friend too!

I have a cumulative 8 years of experience working in pet care in various professional capacities, as well as experience providing in-home dog and cat sitting services. I have worked with animals from 11 weeks to 18 years, and am comfortable walking, playing with, and caring for all breeds, sizes, and energy levels.

Merritt is so good with our elderly cat. They giver lots of love and give detailed reports of how she did during their visit. We’ve booked them twice now and wouldn’t hesitate to book them again, if we weren’t moving out of the state! Merritt gives our cat her meds with ease and even brings in packages when left at the door while we are out. Highly recommend booking Merritt!

Merritt did an amazing job caring for my 2 cats! She made sure not only that they had fresh water, food and litter but also ensured the space remained tidy and spent extra time playing and giving them lots of love while I was gone. She consistently went above and beyond on communication daily, making sure to send photos, ask questions and respond promptly to my random anxious messages as it was hard to be apart from my girls! Highly recommend Merritt if you are looking for someone who not only provides excellent care but goes above and beyond!

Schedule
I work part-time and locally, so have plenty of time to visit and care for your furry family members! I am available for dog-walking and other drop in visits Monday through Saturday.
