I’ve taken care of pets of all kinds since I was six. My family has had many different breeds of cats and dogs, and I have had no trouble with any of them. I’ve taken care of pets for neighbors as well. I am comfortable with taking care of dogs or cats of any size, age, and personality. I’ve never had trouble bonding with any pet, and I don’t expect that to change!

I make sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and cared for while their owner is away. For cats, I keep their routine as normal as possible by feeding them on schedule, refreshing their water, cleaning the litter box, and giving them attention based on their personality. Some cats want playtime and pets, while others need more space, so I always let them warm up at their own pace. For dogs, I focus on keeping them active and happy through walks, bathroom breaks, playtime, feeding, and plenty of attention based on their energy level. I know every pet is different, so I adjust to what they are used to and make sure they feel relaxed and cared for. I also keep the home clean and secure, and I’m happy to send updates and photos so owners know their pets are doing well.

You could not ask for a better employee than Merritt. His love for animals and his conscientious nature are the exact qualities that Rover should require and expect in all employees. I would trust Merritt B with all of my animals and I do not bestow that kind of confidence in many people. Merritt can make quick decisions, if needed, and his judgment is very sound and he does not let panic or emotions drive his thought process. When working with animals I would imagine that this is a must. Merritt comes with my highest recommendations.
