I am a field biologist — I do fieldwork in the summers and work from home in the winters. This gives me a lot of flexibility for walks and play time, and allows me to prioritize time and attention for your beloved pet! I can’t have my own pet because of my field schedule, so I would love to watch yours!

I like to offer a couple hours of outdoor (or indoor) active playtime each day, weather depending. I can provide outdoor time/walk in the morning, evening, and shorter breaks during the day. If your dog is up for a longer hike, I have the flexibility to work that into my schedule.

Hello! I love animals, both dogs and cats. I work from home and have a flexible schedule, so I am available to house sit, take your dog for walks or simply keep a lonely cat company! I am a responsible, respectful adult who will treat your pets and home with love and care. I’m happy to folllow any instructions you have and want you to feel fully comfortable leaving your family members in my care. When house-sitting, I typically provide at least an hour walk or playtime in the morning, an hour walk/playtime after work, and many shorter breaks in between. I love walking dogs and am very happy to do walks in winter weather. I like to get out on the trails around town if that is something your dogs enjoy. I volunteer at the La Plata County Humane Society, so I am used to walking dogs that are new to me. I am happy to have your dog(s) hang out with me while I am working from home on my computer. My favorite dogs — I love working dogs, like border collies, cattle dogs, shepherds, etc. 💗

Merran is wonderful! We have a household full of misfit pets; a reactive Border Collie, a reclusive DSH, and a demanding tuxedo cat that is always looking to make a break for the door. Merran masterfully managed all of them - never missing a beat. With consistent, predictable communication, we always knew how the day went for all of our furry children. And to cap it all off, our home was left in a better condition than when we left. We will absolutely re-book with Merran at any opportunity.
I have never been so relaxed on vacation knowing that my dogs were in good hands with Merran. Daily updates about how they were doing, but most assuring was how calm and happy my dogs were when we got home.
Merran was an excellent cat sitter. She also sent a daily message about how Wily was doing, along with photos of Wily. Wily was very comfortable with Merran, and I know he enjoyed the company and cuddles. Merran left my apartment in excellent condition and very clean. I would definitely hire Merran again to take care of Wily.
Merran was great! Very communicative and sent lots of pictures. The dogs seemed very happy to spend a few weeks with her!
