I bribe cats with their preferred treats to gain their trust. It’s a slow progression of trust with most cats so I’m fine to take it slow and let them open up on their terms. I play, give them lots of cuddles, and brush (if they like it).

Cat care experience
I have grown up in a house hold with dogs and cats basically all of my life. My strength is in cats, for the past 4 years I volunteer at Nashville Humane Association socializing cats to be more comfortable around people and have taken many courses on the cat behavior. I’ve looked after a variety of pets with a variety of different needs and medical care.

What to say about Mer? Not only are they incredibly kind and positive, they took such good care of our pets! They watched our two cats while me and my wife got married! And man, was it nice to know that the kitties were in good hands so we could focus on our nuptials! Our male cat especially, Caesar, takes a bit to warm up to people. Imagine my shock to receive an update with a picture of him cuddling Mer! It was such a relief to know that not only would they be attentive to our cats needs, but that they are patient and friendly enough to coax an old man into lap cuddles. Highly, highly recommend them!
Mer took wonderful care of my cat, Myumi, while I was away. They sent regular updates and photos during each visit, which gave me real peace of mind while traveling. As a regular volunteer at the Nashville Humane Association and a certified cat caregiver, Mer clearly knows how to care for cats, and it showed. I wouldn't hesitate to reach out to Mer again, and I highly recommend them to any cat owner looking for someone they can truly trust.
