I am a retired Spanish teacher with an empty nest. Besides being able to handle Middle Schoolers, I have experience raising and training Leader Dogs. I have also raised Labradors, Akitas and Great Danes (even a few chickens). My schedule allows me the flexibility of popping in to check on your fur-baby when they need it the most during the week. On weekends I am free to make multiple visits throughout the day if needed. Or your bestie can stay with us and play the days away. They will return to you happy and tired out! I look forward to spending my new found free-time pampering your pooch! (They might even learn another language)

Meribeth was so great! I could tell Gatbsy was comfortable there and loved being with other dogs.She sent me pictures and kept me updated on his stay. She was very friendly and was super accommodating when our trip got delayed. We will have her watch Gatsby again in the future!
Meribeth has a gift for successfully housebreaking puppies using positive reinforcement methods. She raised a leader dog puppy and used their method to quickly housebreak my puppy. She consciously watches for animal body language cues and calmly reacts to promote successful training. She loves dogs and lovingly treats them with kindness and patience.
Meribeth is a high quality person with a passion for animals. I would trust her with my loved ones care as well as my pets.
Meribeth is a wonderful and loving pet owner. Not only are her pets well loved, they are also well behaved. Meribeth takes time to get to know her pets. When I go out of town, I have often asked Meribeth and her daughter to take care of my kitty. She will spend time making sure my cat isn’t lonely and she even sends me pictures and videos.

Home characteristics
Safety, trust & environment
Your dog will have "free range" at my home whenever I am with them. I have several gates/doors within the house and usually block off certain areas to make sure curious pups aren't getting into trouble or if a dog just needs some alone time to chill. The dogs go out to play in the yard many times a day (weather permitting). I have toys GALORE but you are always able to bring your own. The dogs and my family are ALL vaccinated!
Pets
A typical day
Our day usually starts around 7:00 a.m. with a potty break outside and then breakfast. We go back outside for some running, sniffing and pooping, for about 30 min. The dogs continue to play/nap until a midmorning break outside. I usually serve "dinner" around 3:00 and then more playing, lounging and maybe a walk. Repeat as needed!
