I work part-time and have plenty of time to devote to your pets. I am available daily for drop-ins (food, meds) once or twice a day, as well as half hour or 1 hour walks. Weekends and school vacations I am available for home stays (your home). We are experienced home stay sitters and have great reviews. I am also trying a new service this year, dog day care in my home. Looking for 2 or 3 pups that need weekday attention, a fenced patio, hardwood floors, and a grassy acre for ball and frisbee time!

A typical day
Your pup and I will follow your instructions for walk and play time. I am naturally active, but I will understand if your dog needs a simple outing and some TLC. Every dog has different needs, so just let me know! Check out the photos of the happy pets I care for--- we walk, play ball, get fed & groomed with affection. My house-sitting pets get companionship and attentive care.

Are you searching for someone to care for your loved one with trust and confidence? I have 33 years experience with pets, wild animals, and plants of all kinds. Ducks, chickens, rabbits, deer, horses, goats, cats, hawks & falcons, and of course dogs. I have a B.S. in Animal Science and am a life-long animal lover. My canine companion of 10 years was an energetic Queensland Heeler. When he passed away in 2020, I was heartbroken. Now I devote time to love on other folks'animals. Influences on my dog philosophy include Cesar Milan, The Monks of New Skete, and Ian Billinghurst. My daughter is passionate about cats and horses. Pet-sitting is a family activity for us! I am reliable, friendly, compassionate, and active. If your beloved pet needs an easy, peaceful stroll, I can do that. If your pet would prefer to burn off some energy in a healthy way, I can arrange it! I will follow your instructions and send photos of your pet's outings or home stay. Can't wait to set up Meet n Greet with you and your companion! If your dog is adventurous, we could visit a park or walk a trail, weather permitting! There is a beautiful meadow near my house with mown walking trails. We can also walk in your neighborhood. I will follow your instructions to give your loved one the best care I can. My dog and puppy walks include gentle obedience training and reminders. If needed or requested, I can communicate with you to address any concerns. You will come home to a happy and healthy pet! It's important to me that your pet get the care and attention he or she deserves ! I will follow your instructions and take care of your pet just the same as you would. If your pup needs to burn off some energy in a healthy way, I can arrange that! If your companion needs an easygoing stroll and some friendly company, I can do that too. Just let me know! Brushing and hair clean up are also available on request. My rates include an average travel time, some fuel expense, and Rover service fees. Dog walks and home stays within walking or biking distance of my home (Ithaca Airport area) may qualify for a discount! I will follow your instructions and take care of your pet just the same as you would. If your pup needs to burn off some energy in a healthy way, we can do that. If your pet needs a pleasant stroll and some TLC, we can do that too. Just let me know!

I can't recommend Meriam enough. Both my pups are rescues and take medication for anxiety, and my larger dog can be reactive when meeting new people, especially when they come into the home. I'm usually challenged to find a sitter that can mange them. Meriam did a few walks to get acquainted with them and then watched them for the past week and they both really bonded. My larger dog usually will be destructive with his bed and crate and sometimes my little pup will stop eating when we leave. They both did so well being watched by Meriam, there were no issues. I got daily pictures and Meriam took them on several long walks a day and played with them in the backyard and even watered my plants during a hot spell. Leaving our dogs has always felt stressful because they can be a lot but this trip was much more relaxing with Meriam there. Meriam is committed, responsible, and clearly an experinced dog sitter.
Meriam (and Magdalena) were fantastic with Horton! They were very patient with him and some of his senior tendencies. They also took great care of our home and left us a delicious fruit salad to boot!f Highly recommend them for your dog sitting needs.
Meriam went above and beyond to take care of our puppy. Very grateful for her help when we needed it at the last minute
Meriam took great care of our cat and dog, including giving our dog pills. Very communicative and both pets seemed at ease!
