SCHEDULE: I work as a nanny 2pm-6:30pm M-F during the school year. No school days tend to extend my start to 10am. If having the occasional children with (9 and 10 year old) isn’t a good fit for you and/or your pet(s), then I may not be the right fit for your needs. DROP-IN VISITS/WALKS: These are best if they happen before 1pm or after 6pm. Some wiggle room is good too on the chance I have an already committed arrangement (like appointments). Otherwise I pride myself in being punctual to the preferred time that you schedule me for. OVERNIGHT STAYS: Rates reflect starting and ending the stay around 12pm. If there’s a need for me to come in before 12pm or to leave after12pm, I will be adding an additional 25$ to the day(s) that needs the extra time. I prefer to never leave pets in my care (particularly dogs) alone longer than 6 hours. My work gives me flexibility to check in on pets if I know I’ll be gone longer than 6 hours. I also enjoy taking dogs on adventures, like dog parks and hikes, if weather and time allows.

I do my best to use my best judgement and follow the directions of the owners. I never take dogs off leash unless we are home or have a well established relationship in which I know the dog will come to my call. I keep any food I bring up high and behind a door to avoid potential accidents. I am very conscientious of making sure homes are locked before leaving and like to keep the place as clean, if not cleaner, when I leave.

Not just for their own personal business, but for fresh air at a park and potential socialization (the latter I may reserve until I've become familiar with the dog and family). Green Lake is my favorite park and if it is close enough, there's a good chance that'll be the go to place for walks and jogs.

**PLEASE READ! I have notes about dog walking and house sitting to see if I’m a good fit for your needs** 🐾 DOG WALKING: I’m Meri of “Pawsitively Meri” and I would love to have your pup join mine and Shiva’s pack! We are servicing the NE corner of Seattle neighborhoods (Maple Leaf, Pine Hurst, Olympic Hills, and Meadow Brook mostly). We aim to be out rain or shine Monday-Friday between 10:30-2pm for an hour. Listed below are COST, EXPECTATIONS, and REQUIREMENTS to see if I’m the right fit for you and your pup(s). 🐾 _____COST:_____ As needed (not scheduled): 50$/day (and dependent on availability). 1-2 Days each week: 45$/day 3-4 Days each week: 40$/day 5 Days each week: 35$/day Additional dog: +10$/each All walks need to be paid for beforehand. Day of drop ins are subject to availability and must be requested/confirmed before 10am. I will adjust the price of the drop in accordingly to what is scheduled (as the default for 1 hour is 50$). 🐾 __EXPECTATIONS:__ - Park play at Magnuson, Ridge Crest, North Acres, or Green Lake when the weather isn’t too muddy. - Walks around Paramount Park, Burke Gilman, or Maple Leaf when it’s wet. - Light training/reinforcement of basic commands (sit, down, and come). Liver and heart treats are my preferred choice of treat to help with this. - Pictures - EXTREME WEATHER: 80’s and higher, we will aim to be near water or limit our time outside to 20-30 minutes. 32 and lower: shorter time outside to make sure no one gets too cold Heavy rain/storms: we’ll limit our walk to 20-30 minutes. - Snow: Expect the walk to be canceled and payment for that day will go towards the next walk. - I will have some towels to help dry off your pup. Please have your own in your home for an additional wipe down if you would like to avoid wet dog or dirt in other areas of your house. 🐾 __REQUIREMENTS:__ - At least a year old - 60lbs or less, no breed restrictions. - Well socialized, otherwise it’ll be a case by case decision if I can take on socializing your pup with the pack. - A copy of their recent vaccine history, emergency numbers that I can keep. Updates yearly. - Must be altered (spayed/neutered) - Able to walk a mile minimum. - MUST HAVE BACK UP CARE! One of my biggest worries is not being able to make it to work. And while I want to move mountains to make sure your pet is taken care of, it is not feasible for me to guarantee that. Life happens and I never want your fur baby to be left without care, so please have a game plan in case I cannot make it in. 🐾 If all that works, schedule me today! I look forward to doing a meet and greet with you and your pup! 🐾 HOUSE SITTING: I am a duo with my Dober Collie mix. Shiva is my ESA and I work hard with her to have her well mannered. Overnight stays will require her to be with me. My rates currently are 100$/night in which I can leave for 6 hours periods of time. Pets that need more attentive care (can’t be alone more than 3 hours at a time), I have to charge an additional 50$/night as that limits my ability to more flexibly tend to other jobs I have. 🐾 NAIL TRIMS: 20$ nail trims are things I offer. I use clippers and a dremel. Willing to work with any temperament and strive to make it a non stressful experience. This may mean multiple trims to help the pup/cat build confidence and a relationship with me. The goal is to not punish the dog or cat for their valid feelings. All the treats. All the pets. Restraints, muzzles, and medicine as needed, but not the go to.

I booked Meri for cat sitting my one cat who is very low maintenance as she’s still a young kitty. I booked them for 30 minute visits twice a day. Unfortunately, Meri only stayed for about 8 minutes on one visit, and around 10-15 minutes on other visits. I understand my cat is low maintenance but I paid for 30 minute drop in visits, my cat is alone all day long and this is the only interaction she gets while I’m out of town. Very disappointed. I’ve never left a negative review on Rover before, I understand this is how some people make a living, so apologies to Meri. Be warned and maybe choose someone else if you’re looking for a cat sitter specifically.
Dougal loves Meri & Shiva and I love knowing he's in excellent, caring hands when we're gone!
Meri did a fantastic job caring for our sweet girls, giving them lots of love and playtime, and took some great photos! We felt confident knowing that our fur babies were in good hands. We definitely recommend Meri!
