Pup's Staycation!
Pet care experience
My husband, Justin, and I are genuine animal lovers. We both work from home and with our schedule(s) we able to provide the time and attention to your pups. It’s a great experience and we love meeting new dogs and people alike! We like to maintain a manageable, clean and relaxed environment -- we take pride in our little oasis. All dogs are closely monitored for your dog's safety and for the maintenance of our home. Ultimately your dogs will feel as if they were in your own home, but with extra friends to play with :) -- think of it as a little staycation for your fur pup. I grew up with Weimaraners, Dachshunds, and Dobermans in both a country and city setting. My father trains hunting and service dogs, so I like to believe some of those skills were passed on :). I’m also no stranger to other types of animals such as horses, and reptiles. We currently own 2 Mini Dachshunds and a Blue-Nose Pittie, named Niebo, Metztli and Ko'ba. Needless to say, I have experience with all ages, breeds, and personalities! As previously mentioned, we have two small dachshund who have large personalities. They are used to being around other dogs and tend to keep to themselves unless they want to play (my dachshunds are generally lazy & boujee haha). Our youngest addition, Ko'ba, is very sweet and playful. As for our space, there’s ample opportunity for play and relaxation. We have a rock garden with a path and several plants, including a garden. There's plenty to sniff and explore! We also have a large home where dogs can have space to relax on a need be basis :) You will also receive daily picture updates and/or videos of your fur baby :)) I should also note that I have experience with senior dogs, such as administrating medication (orally, or if they require shots), and other special needs. ** Our sweet 14.5 year old doberman, Apollo, passed away in May 2022. Our sassy 17 year old dachshund, Cleo, passed away in July 2018. (Both are in several of my photos). We miss them both very much and are grateful for all the memories. Currently we only have two dachshunds-- Niebo & Metztli and our pittie Ko’ba**
Reviews
Thanks for taking care of my dog! It seems like she had a good time. I appreciate the updates and taking her in last min.
Mereya and Justin took great care of my pup. They kept me updated, sent pics and were responsive. They are really nice and kind people. Im happy to have found them.
Mereya and Justin were terrific. Daisy was clearly well cared for, they communicated well, and their own three dogs are as sweet as can be; lastly, we had flight issues returning home, and they even watched her an extra six hours.10/10 would recommend. Will certainly use them again!
Our Frank had a blast playing at Mereya's house, and we had a worry-free trip, knowing he was happy and well cared for. Perfect home-away-from home for our boy!

I genuinely care for all animals and am very intuitive to their needs/comfort levels. I take preliminary precautions to avoid a stressful experience for all dogs (ex. feeding dogs separately, monitoring any signs of territorial behavior, etc). I'm extremely understanding with all types of personalities and quirks. I almost never book more than 2 dogs at a time to avoid creating a stressful/unruly environment. However, my booking solely depend on size age, and needs of dogs (For example: I may accept more bookings if all dogs are small, but might respectively decline a pending inquiry if I'm already watching a dog with special needs). In addition to my love for animals, I also graduated with my degree in Psychology and have immense experience with individuals who have experienced traumatic events. In the past I have used my male dachshund, Niebo, as a therapy dog when I've worked with youth. In essence, I'm here to support you as an owner in guaranteeing that your fur baby is safe and happy under my care. I truly believe animals feed off our own energy, thus creating a trusting environment/relationship with one another is essential to your dog's mental health.

Information Mereya B. would like to know about your pet
--Let me know if your dog has any special needs or behaviors I need to look out for. -- At times I will have multiple bookings, please let me know ahead of time if your dog does not do well with other dogs. (or if your dog does not do well with certain breeds, ages or genders) --We have a variety of plants inside and outside our home (cacti, rosebushes, flowers, herbs, and other indoor plants) Our dogs are trained to ignore them. If your dog has a tendency to eat or uproot plants please let me know so we can pay special attention for the safety of your animals and our plants. --Let me know if your dog is not allowed treats or has allergies. We do NOT feed dogs human food. --Let me know if your dog is food or toy aggressive (I feed dogs in separate rooms as precaution) --If your dog(s) does not do well with small dogs, please do not inquire. -- If your dog has a tendency to mark or is not well potty trained, please do not inquire. --Please Note: Overall my husband and I are extremely understanding, but we highly value communication. Although my husband works from home and my schedule is hybrid, we still work full time, and have a teenager. As a result we adjust our schedule accordingly to provide adequate care for your fur baby. Lack of communication and follow through with boarding requests, pickup/drop off times, or meet and greets can be inconvenient to our family. Things happen and that's okay, but please just communicate with us :), I promise we are very understanding!
A typical day
Our dogs typically can be found living their best life, either sunbathing or bird watching. We have plentiful outdoor toys, access to fresh water, and amble space for the pups to run and explore. My husband's office faces the window to the backyard so all dogs are monitored while he works. The evenings are usually spent up-keeping our backyard garden. In general we spend a lot of our time in our backyard where we love to play fetch or relax with our dogs.
