When I care for dogs in their home, I try to keep things as familiar and consistent as possible. I follow your dog’s usual routine for walks, meals, play, rest, and any medications so they feel secure while you are away. I pay close attention to safety at home and on walks, including keeping dogs away from food or objects they should not get into and being mindful of their surroundings. I also let dogs warm up at their own pace and pay attention to their comfort level, personality, and energy.

I like to be prepared and to know what helps your dog feel most comfortable. My own dogs taught me a great deal, including how to care for anxious dogs, senior dogs, and dogs who are determined to get into food or things they should not have, so I know how important it is to pay attention to the details.
A typical day
A typical day depends on the dog, since every dog has a different routine, energy level, and personality. I usually include walks, sniff time, play, meals, potty breaks, and downtime, while staying as close as possible to the routine they know. For more active dogs, that may mean longer walks and more play. For puppies, seniors, or dogs with special needs, I keep things gentler and more structured. I am also comfortable with brushing, giving medications if needed, and plenty of affection.

I know it is not easy to leave your dog in someone else’s care. As a dog parent of 15 years, I want owners to feel confident that their dog is safe, comfortable, and well looked after with me. I am certified in Pet First Aid and have hands-on experience with dogs of all sizes and ages, from puppies to seniors. I take the time to learn each dog’s routine, personality, and comfort level so I can care for them in a way that feels familiar and low-stress. Whether your dog loves long sniff walks, needs steady exercise, or does better with a slower pace, I tailor each visit to fit their needs. You will receive photo and video updates after each walk or visit so you know how your dog is doing. I would be glad to become a consistent, reliable part of your dog’s routine and am happy to arrange recurring walks or visits. I also have experience fostering and volunteering with dog rescue organizations, which has given me experience with many different temperaments and care needs.

Meredyth was superb with our pup! Her two little dogs were adorable and played nice, and totally didnt mind sharing their space and goodies with mine. She spoiled our baby rotten and even got him a toy of his own during his stay. Happy dog happy life, and ours was definitely a happy dog during Meredyth's care.
Meredyth and her pack were wonderful for my dog Mara! All the signs of anxiety (leftover from her *last* kenneling experience) are gone, and she's exhausted but super happy. What a great way to come home from a trip! And text/photo updates the whole time away. Thanks so much!
Meredyth was great! She was super sweet and my dog seemed to really like her. I received picture updates from her everyday so I knew my pup was doing well. Meredyth is absolutely fantastic. She took excellent care of my little man, Duke, and sent tons of photos! Her pups are very sweet and got along very well with mine. She was great about asking questions on Dukes routine and making him feel like one of the gang. He was a happy little guy when he got home!
