A Fun, Active, Attentive Dog Lover!
Hey there! My name is Meredith, I'm from Michigan, USA, and 3 years ago, I graduated from DePaul University in Chicago, with a BFA degree in Screenwriting. Then I moved to London, almost 2 years ago, to get my MA degree in Creative Writing, and to set roots and eventually build a career & life! :) I absolutely love ALL animals and have cared for many kinds through the years (hamsters, guinea pigs, bunnies, birds, cats, etc.), but I especially love dogs. I finally got my own dog—an energetic fluffy golden doodle named Toby—6 years ago! He’s back home right now sadly, but I can’t wait to be reunited with him. I’m outgoing, hard working, friendly, and compassionate, and would love to walk your dog, or drop by to feed or play with your dog whenever needed. I am here to make your life easier! I am also equipped to handle high strung dogs. My dog gets excited easily and could probably run 20 miles a day. Luckily, I’m strong & athletic, and love to bike, play tennis, and do pilates for fun! I also have experience taking care of shy dogs who get frightened or stressed easily. I always treat these dogs with extra love, care, and gentleness, and make sure to earn their trust first and foremost. I have also house-sat a deaf dog before, who I had to learn special hand signals for, and have done drop-in visits for a blind & deaf dog who needed extra guidance and care. Additionally, I have experience with dogs who don’t get along as well with other dogs and/or people. In these cases, I usually walk down paths that are empty, and I keep them close by my side with a firm grip on their leash. I have great reflexes and have handled large dogs before who pull, lunge at things, etc. so I’m familiar with this. Whatever personality your pet has, I’ve probably handled it before, and successfully at that! I love and respect all animals equally, and I tailor my care to each individual pet :)

I take lots of photos (roughly 15-20) of the dogs I walk & visit, and send them to their parents (you!), so that you can see how much fun they’re having, and how adorable they are (in case you FORGOT). I am also very communicative around the clock, so that owners feel content and at ease. I send reminders before walks/visits, I stay in touch during the visit if needed, I send in-depth Rover Cards after the walk/visit, and I always respond to any questions, changes in the schedule, etc., at any time. No matter the task—walking, feeding, playing, etc.—I am determined to make your pup feel loved by giving them plenty of pets, kisses, cuddles, and attention. Everything was perfect as always! Meredith took such great care of my kitty while I was away and sent the cutest pictures and updates throughout. Would highly recommend Meredith as a petsitter.
It's always difficult to leave your pet with someone you don't know, so a first good impression makes a difference. Meredith is approachable, communicative and thorough. When Meredith came over to see the place and collect the keys, she took notes about everything, asked questions and listened. Throughout the time I was away, she always ensured I knew what was going on through text and by sending many videos and pictures. Definitely very reassuring. Great job and thank you!

Meredith was a great sitter for my large rescue dog. She was very communicative, kept me well informed of her arrival, sent lots of great photos throughout the sit, and was equally a very respectful house guest. Would definitely ask her to sit again.

Schedule
I currently am working at a cafe, 30-ish hours per week. I usually work from 7:00 A.M until 3:00 P.M. But some days, I don’t start until 10:00 A.M., and may not leave until 4:30 P.M. It looks a little different each week! I typically have 2-3 days off per week, though these days are different each week. My boss is very flexible! I have specifically requested certain days off before, to accommodate a Rover client’s needs during a given week.
