I have taken care of dogs since I was 20. I have personally had 9 dogs, 2 of which are still living. They are a German Shepherd and a mixed hound. I also foster dogs from time to time. I am comfortable with dogs of all ages, with dogs that need any special medication, as one of my dogs was a diabetic and blind. Also, I am comfortable with dogs that have aggression issues, as long as we work out how to address them before your dog stays with me, and no one gets hurt. Two of my German Shepherds have aggression issues that I had to work through. A little about me: I am going back to get my master's and teach. Currently, I am substitute teaching, and we undergo a very thorough background check, including fingerprints and a check with the FBI. I am willing to provide long-term boarding for deployments or similar situations. That is the case; we can discuss the details and the long-term care rate. I have a very large fenced yard that gives the dogs plenty of room to run and play. It is 1/3 of an acre. I have radiant heat in the floors of my house, and most of the time, the dogs lie on the nice, warm floor. I do have a camera in the backyard. I can give you access while your dog is staying here with me. :) I’m sorry, I cannot take any more neutered dogs. The few I have had have been working all over my house, and it doesn’t matter how much cleaning you do, or how special the treatments are, they don't work. It’s a big problem with unneutered dogs. I do hope you consider neutering your dog.

Meredith was fantastic with Delta and gave her all the extra attention my very anxious girl needed during her stay. She understands dog needs, incorporated a slow and safe introduction to the other dogs present, and was quick to respond to any messages. Delta made a few friends, enjoyed playing with the other pups, and was exhausted by the time she was picked up. Will absolutely be boarding with Meredith in the near future.
The BEST!!! 🐾 🐕Meredith is an absolute lifesaver! We needed emergency boarding during a stressful life transition, and she provided a safe, nurturing space for our ESA (who had sadly been mistreated in someone else's care). Our sweet dog is sometimes fearful and timid, but Meredith was patient, understanding, and helped show his true gentle nature. Highly recommend! 🐾 🏆
Meredith is truly one of those rare people who just gets dogs. I’ve had the chance to witness her natural ability with dogs for over 10 years as her neighbor. In that time, she's had multiple large dogs of her own and regularly fosters, so she has a lot of experience. She has a calm, intuitive way she interacts with dogs that makes them instantly trust her. They listen to her, respond to her, and seem to know they're safe with her. She is also the go to neighbor when a dog gets loose in our area. Somehow, she always manages to safely wrangle roaming dogs and get them back home. Mine included, more than once! It's clear she cares deeply and sincerely about every dog she encounters. Meredith is also one of the most honest, responsible, and dependable people I know. Anyone who has the chance to have her care for their pet is in really good hands.
Meredith is a great dog owner and overall passionate about all animal care. Wanting to make sure every little furry creature feels comfortable and is taken cared of is always her goal. I personally think she’d thrive within the rover community because of the skills and knowledge she has with dogs, as well as overall her being an animal lover.
Meredith is a loyal, caring and loving dog owner. She takes great pride in taking good care of her dogs. She is diligent on details and would do whatever necessary to assist and care for your pet.

Safety, trust & environment
I have a large yard that is fully fenced with a 6 foot fence. I treat pets as part of my family but keep them well behaved and mannered. I have fostered dogs before too, and I always try to meet the dog where they are at whether they are stressed, fearful, or have a lot of. For example, if they need a lot of exercise we go on walks and play several times a day. I find a happy dog is a happy life.
Pets
A typical day
We play fetch every day. Try to take a walk or go to the dog park. I also have some hide to treats for a game if it is raining or something like that. Older dogs like it a lot.
