I have always loved animals! About 5 years ago, I began volunteering with a local cat rescue, Catsnap. When I discovered how much I loved being with the cats, and knowing how much I loved dogs, I decided to start working full-time at the local humane society as an adoption counselor. I'm looking to spend more one-on-one time with the animals, and would love an opportunity to get to know your companion!

I have animal handling experience from working in an animal shelter, including dogs and cats of varying sizes and temperaments. I also love spending time at home with my own pets, a grumpy, aging Maltese (Lucca - or "Wubby", to close friends), a cuddly 2-year-old cat (Figgy), and a mischievous 5-month-old kitten (Envy).

Schedule
I recently left my full-time job so I could be more available for my small but busy family. Aside from playing chauffeur to a seventh grader, my routine is very flexible! Aside from mom-duties, my availability is open.

- Just let me know what will make your companion happiest and most comfortable. Sometimes animals get nervous around a new person. If you know how your friend displays anxiety, the things that might make them nervous, and/or the best ways to comfort them if they are upset, that would be a terrific start!
