Pet care experience

FURever friends found here!!!

Hi! I’m Meranda and as you’ve already guessed, I love dogs. While I want to adopt my own furry friend someday, for now I’d LOVE to take care of yours when you need it! Special needs pets are always welcome here! I have plenty of patience for anxious pups who need time to decompress after drop off to build trust, room in might house for crates/carrier kennels/etc for crate-trained dogs who feel safest in their own space, as well as elderly, blind, and deaf dogs. I grew up with my family’s dogs who both lived 16+ years, and were deaf and blind, and needed medication. I work weekdays from 8:30-5:00 but i have the flexibility to work from home most of the time, as well as a pet friendly office for when I absolutely have to go in! Trust me, my coworkers will be thrilled to have a cute dog there for the day! Currently, I can welcome 1 dog or 1 cat in my home at any time (strata limits us to 1 pet per household at any time, sorry!). I don’t have a private yard, but I have a fenced dog run shared by my neighbors and I, and plenty of green space around. Plus, if your pet is good with car rides, we can take a field trip to nearby parks for a change of scenery! My best friend and roommate Jen will also be around, she is always happy to have a cuddly new friend to watch tv with or keep her company while she writes! With both of us being chill homebodies, someone will always be there to be sure your BFF (best furry friend) is loved and taken care of 24/7 💕

Miranda met us in the park for a meet and greet which went well, was easy to communicate with and was loving and lovely with our puppy for a weekend stay over.

We were so happy with Meranda and the level of care that she provided to our dog Price. We could rest easy on our vacation knowing that he was in good hands! Thanks Meranda!

Marley our dog was well looked after and Meranda was very flexible with our schedule even on short notice. We will definitely be using her again! Meranda was very kind and seemed to really love dogs so I felt very comfortable leaving our little girl with her.

We boarded our dog with Meranda for a week. It was a terrific experience, for both him and us. Meranda was excellent! Communication was strong and frequent. I would recommend her highly!

If there was ever someone that was perfectly suited to be a dogsitter, it would be Meranda. It is clear that she loves animals, especially dogs, and will take incredible care of your furry friend. She is responsible and kind, I would definitely recommend her to take care of your pets.

Safety, trust & environment

I always appreciate a meet and greet before any sitting is booked. It not only helps build trust and relationship between myself and your pet, but also with pet parents. I make exceptions with stays that happen at my home, however please note I will not book overnight stays at a clients home without having met or prior or as a previous client

A typical day

When pet sitting, I wake up earlier than a typical day. I like to see how they are feeling, if they show signs of wanting to get up and go (morning potty break, food, zoomies) or if they want to go back to bed for a while more. I follow the care instructions as given, if they have a schedule for food and walks, etc. I tend to lean towards a pampering experience to make sure they are as comfy as possible! While I relate the most with my fellow couch potatoes, high energy dogs also get pampered here! With permission for car rides, I love to check out different parks and trails for them to explore, and experience all the new smells! Or we go play in the community dog run till they get their zoomies out, and do some laps around the neighborhood loop!

Meranda can host up to 2 pets per night
Let me know about allergies, medical conditions, and their likes or dislikes! If they’re scared of children or men, if they can take car rides well! If they’re food motivated, or they have prey drive tendencies (lots of wild bunnies are always in my neighborhood). As well if they are aggressive or reactive to other dogs, so I can do my best to avoid any interactions!!
