I've recently moved to Chicago and am employed part-time, and have plenty of time outside of work to care for pets! I love taking dogs out on adventures, long walks, or just playing with them in the backyard.

I am open to caring for all breeds and sizes! I am curious to know your dogs energy levels so I can account for how much outside /play time they need.
A typical day
I love to go on walks and runs and will take your dog with me! I typically go on a 1-1.5 hour walk each day and if your dog is up for it I will take them along with me! I will also play with your dog and spend time just hanging out with them.

I’ve loved animals for as long as I can remember. My first dog, a German Shepherd–Chow Chow mix, was my constant companion until I was 10. Not long after, another dog joined the family, and when I left for college, he came with me, where I cared for him through those years. Along the way, I also raised seven pet chickens and two pet rats. By the time I was 12, my neighbors had started hiring me to care for their chickens and three cats while they were away, giving me even more hands-on experience with a variety of animals.

I couldn’t have asked for a better pet and house sitter. When I first met Mer, she was clearly experienced and comfortable with Walter (he can come on a little strong since he loves visitors) but she wasn’t intimidated at all. Mer took the time to understand Walters routines and quirks (he has many) which immediately made me feel comfortable about trusting her with my big 90 pound baby. While I was away, we kept in touch so I knew Walter was well cared for. The photos looked like they were having a great time! Mer treated my home and my dog with kindness and respect, as if they were her own. I would definitely recommend Mer and will be booking her again next trip.

Whether it's going for walks, following routines, or giving plenty of affection, Mer goes above and beyond. She's my dog’s favorite sitter, and I wouldn’t trust anyone else more to look after her.
I lived with Mer for three years in college and always saw her being so caring and responsible with pets. She took care of her family’s older pet dog and cat over the course of these years and was very attentive to their needs. Along with her own pets, Mer and I lived with cats and they all particularly loved her! Mer is a true animal lover and I would ask her to take care of my pet in a heartbeat!
Mer is a very responsible and caring person. When we lived together she would help watch my aging cat while I was out of town and I always trusted her completely. She always treated my cat as well as she treated her own cat and dog. She is responsible in all aspects of her life as well.
