I started out fostering puppies for a few years, one of which I kept as my foster fail, Emma! Emma loves to play with other dogs and would love the opportunity to hang out with yours while you get away for either work or fun.

I've known Melyssa for over 10 years. She has gone from fostering puppies to being a dog-mom herself. She is extremely trust-worthy, responsible and kind. She kept my ancient weenie dog with tons of health issues who required medicine multiple times a day and did a great job. I highly recommend her as a pet-sitter!
Melyssa is an amazing pet sitter, I use her all the time!! She works from home and has years of experience as a dog foster mom, so I always know her guests are in great hands. Her big back yard has tons of wildlife to watch over the deck for some doggie tv time and her own dog is so easygoing and loves making new best friends, making it the perfect vacation time for any pupper. Your dog will get tons of attention, playtime, and love. I highly recommend her!
What a sweet person to take care of our baby. All you could ask for, loving person who works from home with a fenced yard that backs to trees for a great view. Could not give a higher recommendation, she is awesome.

Schedule
I have a full time job where I work from home, so would have plenty of time to care for your dog as needed. I am available most weeks and weekends. Since I have my dog, it would be essential to arrange quick meet and greets prior to committing.

Safety, trust & environment
I have my dog Emma, who is a Saint Bernard mix. Though I just have her at the moment, she grew up with other dogs and loves the companionship. I recently constructed a fence for my backyard for ease of potty breaks, though stairs are necessary for this. Emma has free reign of the house while I am working, but I do have an x-pen and extra dog bed I could setup if needed. Emma takes daily medicine for her joints and thyroid, so I am used to giving medicine if your pup requires medicine as well.

A typical day
A typical day usually starts with a journey to the backyard to check out all the smells that accumulated over night. Then we venture inside and prepare to go on a walk to make room for breakfast. After getting a full belly, it's usually time for naps to get some work done. For lunch, there will be about 30 minutes of play time before another nap. In the evening it's time for a longer walk, then dinner before quiet time.

- My experience is in dogs that are less than 80 pounds, Emma is the largest dog I have had. She adores puppies and dogs that are a tad smaller than her, but, with that said, her best friend is the great dane mix nest door.
