Safety, trust & environment
I live on about 7 acres of property. The yard is not fenced, but I can take pups out on a leash. I do have 2 cats with me full-time but they’re very friendly. I also live in a split house, so I could separate them if needed. I’m also very used to going to people’s houses to watch their pets. I work best when there is a written list of what you need done. That way, I can check it off as I go. But I’m very thorough! I’ll get everything done and then some.

Information Melody M. would like to know about your pet
Let me know if you animal needs any special care and I will provide it. If they have triggers, I will avoid them. If they have a safety blanket (literally or otherwise), I will make sure it’s always nearby. If they need oral medication, I can administer it. I just need to know how much and what time to give it to them. Let me know what calms them down as well in case something excites them a little too much! Any information you have for me will be helpful.
A typical day
Busy dogs are happy dogs. We’ll play with all their favorite toys. We’ll go on long walks to wear them out. And then we’ll cuddle and I’ll give them lots of love!

Pet care experience
I’ve had dogs in my family since I was young. When I got older and moved out on my own, I ended up getting cats too. I currently have 2 cats that live with me, one was adopted and one was a stray kitten that I found in a thunderstorm. I’ve worked at a veterinary hospital doing tasks like feeding animals, administering medication, cleaning up after them, bathing them, etc. I have also worked at a couple of dog boarding shops. So, I can handle a lot of animals at once. I’m quick on my feet, especially when animals are getting too rough with one another. This happened a lot at the doggy daycares I worked at. But I know how to break up dog fights without hurting the pups in the process because of my experience there. I have been pet sitting independently for about 5 years, and I prefer it to being in a shop. I can have a closer relationship with the pets I watch this way. I’ve raised my own dogs and cats, so I know how to take care of them. I also know the certain behaviors to look out for, whether an animal is sick or not acting normal in general. I’m very attentive and your animals will be very safe in my hands.
Reviews

Melody is literally the best. I've been using her for almost 2 years for dog walking and dog sitting at my house when I'm out of town. She's reliable, leaves detailed notes from her walks, and is so sweet!
Melody always does a great job and cares deeply for our animals while we are gone. Thanks!
Thanks for keeping our cats safe and happy!
Thanks Melody! We appreciate all your help.
