I’ll be in Washington for the summer with a very open and flexible schedule. After nearly a year of traveling around Asia, I’ve really been missing being around animals - caring for pets is my way of reconnecting with that nurturing side of myself. I genuinely love having animals around. While I’m currently building an online business, I’ll be spending most of my time at home, so your pet will get plenty of attention, care, and companionship throughout the day.

My home is set up with your dog’s comfort and safety in mind. We have a fully fenced backyard for secure outdoor play, and we’re just minutes from the park for daily walks and adventures. We also have a shy, timid cat at home - so dogs who are cat-sensitive do best here. For added peace of mind, I can keep pets in a separate bedroom if needed. Your dog won’t just be watched - they’ll be part of the family. Everyone in my home is an animal lover, pets are welcome on the furniture, and your pup can sleep in the bed just like they do at home.

Mellissa is such a huge dog lover! She will treat your dogs as if they are her own and make sure that they get plenty of love, attention, and walks during their time with her. She will be communicative with you, as she is happy to send over updates and pictures to give you peace of mind. It is helpful to know how my fur baby is doing and I know that she is always in good hands when she is staying with Mellissa! Mellissa has extensive experience working with a range of dogs varying in ages, sizes, temperaments, personalities, and traumas. She quickly gains trust from the dogs that she works with through her consistently gentle, calm, and positive manner. You can count on her to follow any guidelines you provide around meals, walks/potty breaks, bedtime, preferences, and other items that she should be aware of for your particular dog and their needs.
