I follow your instructions closely so your cat’s routine stays consistent. I make sure I know where food, treats, toy,and litter supplies are. I’m patient with shy or anxious cats and let them set the pace for interaction. Even if they hide, I make sure they’re safe, eating well, and using the litter box—and I’ll update you throughout your trip so you always know how they’re doing. If your cat ever shows signs of discomfort (like throwing up or accidents outside the litter box), I’ll let you know right away and clean up the area so they stay comfortable and tidy.

Cat care experience
I’m a cat-only sitter and a cat mom to two rescues, Goat and Choco (5yo and 2yo) based in Westwood. I fostered Goat at 6 weeks old and later found Choco in Kenneth Hahn Park, so I’ve learned a lot about caring for cats at different ages, dynamic in household with multiple cats, as well as general feline behavior and routines. I’ve also helped care for friends’ cats over the years when they are traveling—feeding, playing, checking in, and keeping their routines consistent. I always send clear updates and photos so you can feel comfortable and connected while you’re away.

Mellissa was a godsend. We were away for quite a long time, and she came every day, gave us throw updates, gave the Cats very sweet attention, and even handled a few other things that went wrong around the house while we were away. Above and beyond the call of duty!
Mellissa was THE BEST! Such a gift to have a sitter so attentive, communicative, and proactive, giving my kitty the best possible care! My cat can get melancholy when I'm away but Mellissa made sure she got tons of playtime and cuddles that kept her so happy. She also went out of her way to mitigate an ant infestation that popped up while I was gone which I am SO grateful for. And her many thoughtful photos and videos gave me so much peace of mind. Truly couldn't be happier and excited to book again!
Mellissa is the best! She’s my go-to sitter for my cats. She is punctual, communicative, pays attention to details, sends TONS of pictures and videos, and always goes above and beyond to ensure my boys are well taken care of. I can’t recommend Mellissa enough!
