Huge cat lover, good availability
I’ve grown up with a cat so feel very comfortable with them, and most members of my extended family also have cats so I’ve had lots of experience with cats of different personalities and needs. I have some informal cat sitting experience over the past couple of years, including looking after a british shorthair and two rescue cats. I think I have a skill for getting cats to trust me by letting them go at their own pace and not being overbearing. I take a million pictures of my own cat a day so people whose cat i’m looking after can definitely benefit from regular picture updates.

Safety, trust & environment
I allow cats to build trust with me in their own time, making sure I don’t try to pet them or pick them up until they feel ready to do so. I’m vigilant with making sure doors and windows are closed and locked, and identifying anything in the environment that could pose a risk to the cat. I understand that interaction and enrichment are just as important as food and litter when it comes to caring for cats, so I make sure to try to play with them or give them something interesting to do when visiting them.
Ratings and reviews
Melissa took wonderful care of my two cats, Maxine and Billy, while I was away. They are both naturally shy and nervous around strangers, but Melissa was so patient and gentle that they quickly settled with her. I was kept reassured throughout, and when I returned home they were happy, relaxed, and clearly very well cared for. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Melissa to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and trustworthy pet sitter.

Schedule
I’m currently at home for summer between my third and fourth years of university. I have a part time job in hospitality working around 10-20 hours, focused around the weekends, so I have a lot of time (especially on weekdays) to feed, care for and play with your cat.
