I am passionate about caring for pets, no matter what size, breed, or type of animal, I consider them all to be like my little fur babies. I have had pets all my life but I’ve been taking care of them by myself for over 13 years. I also have been working at a doggie daycare and boarding facility since August 2020. I am working as a vet assistant full time. I am available for housesitting , walks, and drop ins, as well as bathing your dog if you wanted to add that on to your booking because I have been professionally trained by a groomer. Additionally, I have a husky and we go to the dog park and for walks several times a week, so if your dog is friendly, they can come with, or we can go separately! I can’t accommodate pets in my home at this current time, but I am happy to come to your home as it is likely more comfortable for you pets anyway:)

I am happy to do drop-ins that fit into my busy schedule, otherwise I typically do overnight stays or day stays on the weekends for owners that like their pet to have company.

Melissa was so great with my cat Sapphire. She was able to administer her oral medication and her ear medication, which she hates. And Sapphire is scared of people she doesn't know, and Melissa was able to gain her trust within the quick drop in visit time. She was even super kind enough to bring in our packages that were dropped off while we were gone!
Melissa went far beyond expectations! She came to my home a few days before to meet my old puggle and I. Right away, I knew she was the right fit. Warm, friendly, very communicative and understanding of my older dog and patient with his little quirks. After talking and showing her around, I had no hesitation trusting Melissa with my home and my little world with 4 paws. She sent messages with photos letting me know she was handling his separation anxiety with patience, some humor and of course, treats! She is a true animal lover with a lot of knowledge of different breeds and older dog behaviors. I would highly recommend Melissa! Kind, dependable, responsible and overall really good person! It’s not easy for me to leave my little old man, even for one night, but will not hesitate to hire her again. Thank you Melissa! Brutus adored you.

Schedule
I work a full time Vet Assistant job (7:30-5:30) every day so I am only available for night drop ins and weekend stays unless you have a stay that is longer but a pet that is okay with 10 hours unsupervised with overnight care.
