Real pet CARE from a pet lover! Yep, that's me. Your pet will receive attention, exercise, care, and security with me. I have lived with and cared for many animals throughout my lifetime. My two dogs are perfectly imperfect examples of (usually) well-behaved, happy, healthy members of the family. They love having visitors to hang out with, take on our walks, and sleepover. I have fostered for 4Paws for Patriots while the dog is in training to provide service dogs for veterans. I only host two dogs at a time, so if you have vacation plans, please book early. NO aggressive animals will be accepted! I offer safe, friendly, attentive care in my home. Love, play, and friends with paws come free with your pet's stay! Questions? So happy we found Melissa to care for our two boys! We had a week long vacation and it was their first time staying with her. She was so great about sharing updates with us, it put us at ease! Melissa was great, obviously experienced in caring for dogs with a good understanding dog behavior. She has a very dog-friendly attitude and a perfect yard for exploring and playtime. If you are one that is anxious about leaving your pups, this was me and look no further!! Melissa and her husband were amazing. If you are ever looking for someone that will care for your dogs as one of their own, this is it! She shared pictures and kept me updated with all the fun they were having and allowed me to enjoy my family vacation without any worry. I was most worried about my little elderly dog that I feel needs a little more love and attention and I’ve never seen him so happy and active as he was with Melissa. Definitely will be using her again!

Schedule
I am a full-time caregiver. My day revolves around the dogs' care needs and comfort. I'm lucky to work doing what I love to do! I'm willing to be very flexible with drop off and pick up. I'm willing to work with you around your travel schedule. Per Rover policy, if an overnight exceeds 24 hrs., 50% of full rate applies to 2-8 hr. extensions, and 100% for extensions over 8 hrs. Again, I'm flexible with this; but, please know my time is nearly always fully booked, and I have a schedule, too! 🙂

My backyard is fully fenced. Dogs have free run in the entire space. They are always closely supervised. I do not crate any dog unless requested; I realize some dogs prefer their own little personal space.
Pets
A typical day
My dogs and guest dogs have free run of of the backyard for large parts of the day, depending on weather. We can go on walks if your dog is leash trained. Quieter dogs generally choose to hang out with me and snuggle or play one-on-one; fringe benefit of the job!
