Melissa can care for
Availability
I work part-time, so my schedule can vary, but I always share my availability upfront before any bookings are confirmed. That way, we can make adjustments if needed to ensure your pet gets the attention and care they deserve. Pet care is a priority for me, and I make sure it fits comfortably into my routine.

About Melissa W.
Communication
Safety, trust & environment
At home, I care for my cat Milo by feeding him twice a day, cleaning his litter box every morning, and giving him lots of playtime and attention whenever I have a free moment. I bring that same level of care to my clients’ homes—keeping pets fed, clean, comfortable, and most importantly, loved. I do my best to stick to their usual routines so they feel safe and at ease while you're away.
Information Melissa W. would like to know about your pet
A client should definitely tell me about any special needs or medical conditions their pet has, like allergies, medications, or dietary restrictions. It’s important to know their usual routine—feeding times, bathroom habits, and any behavior quirks or fears (like anxiety around strangers or loud noises). Also, sharing what kind of play the pet enjoys or doesn’t like helps me keep them happy and comfortable. If there are any specific care requests, like grooming, walking preferences, or commands the pet knows, those details make a big difference in providing the best care. Basically, the more I know upfront, the better I can tailor my attention to their unique needs!
A typical day
When watching dogs, I’d keep them active with walks, fetch, and tug-of-war. We’d also do short training sessions or use puzzle toys to keep them mentally engaged. For calmer moments, treats and cuddles would be part of the routine. With cats, I’d use feather toys, laser pointers, and boxes for play. I’d also set up cozy spots for bird-watching or relaxing. If they enjoy affection, I’d spend time petting or brushing them. Activities would match their energy and personality.

Cat care experience
I’ve been caring for cats since I was 10, helping my mom foster and rescue strays—so feline care has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up with four amazing cats of my own and have experience with everything from socializing shy kitties to administering medication and keeping litter boxes fresh and clean. I understand that every cat has their own personality, and I’m all about giving them the gentle, loving care they deserve.
Reviews
Melissa met us on short notice for instructions. Her visit with our pet went very well. She sent pictures and an update which we greatly appreciated.

Melissa has done a superb job taking care of our two senior cats. Her professionalism and kindness are much appreciated!

Melissa is an excellent cat-sitter. She has watched our cats for two different long (over a week) visits, and done a superb job. She is prompt and reliable in feeding them two times daily, plus litter clean-up and loving time. My favorite picture is my Calico cat licking her cheek in affection!

TY for taking care of Carmen!!
