Pet care is fully integrated into my daily routine. I work full-time from home, so I’m able to provide constant supervision, frequent potty breaks, and plenty of attention throughout the day. My own dog, Kip, is part of a consistent schedule that includes two to three walks daily, outdoor time in our large fenced-in yard, playtime, and downtime for rest and cuddles. Because I’m home all day, dogs in my care are never left alone for long periods and are able to maintain a routine similar to what they’re used to at home. I’m attentive to each dog’s individual needs, whether that means extra exercise, quiet companionship, or structured routines, and I enjoy making pet care a central part of my day rather than something I have to fit in around other commitments.

When caring for dogs in my home, I provide a safe, loving, and structured environment where they’re treated like part of the family. Because I work full-time from home, dogs in my care receive 24/7 supervision, frequent potty breaks, and plenty of attention throughout the day. I follow each dog’s normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walk routines, and any special instructions provided by the owner. Dogs enjoy two to three daily walks, outdoor time in my large, fully fenced-in yard, and plenty of playtime, enrichment, and affection. I pay close attention to each dog’s comfort, behavior, and energy level to ensure they feel secure and relaxed. My home is calm, dog-friendly, and well-suited for providing consistent care, whether a dog loves active play or prefers a quieter, more relaxed environment. Safety, communication, and individualized care are always my top priorities, and my goal is to make every dog feel at home while their owner is away.

Please also share your pet’s vet information, emergency contact numbers, and any medications or special instructions they may have. I appreciate details about your dog’s personality, habits, fears, or triggers, as well as their exercise preferences and favorite toys or games, so I can make their stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. The more I know ahead of time, the better I can tailor care to keep your pet happy, safe, and well-adjusted while they’re with me.
A typical day
Dogs in my care have plenty of opportunities for exercise, play, and enrichment. We go on two to three walks daily, and I provide a variety of games like fetch, tug-of-war, and interactive toy play. I have a large collection of toys, so dogs can explore, play, and stay mentally stimulated throughout the day. My dog, Kip, is very playful and loves having a companion to engage with, so dogs in my care often enjoy social play in a safe, supervised environment. I also make sure there’s downtime for cuddles and relaxation, so every dog gets a balance of fun, attention, and rest. My goal is to keep each dog happy, engaged, and comfortable while they’re with me.

If you’re looking for an exceptional pet caregiver, Melissa is truly the best of the best. She has extensive hands-on experience caring for her own pets and shows the same level of love, patience, and attention to every animal she looks after. Melissa has stepped in to care for my pets, ranging from cats to reptiles, while I was away on vacation, and I always felt completely at ease knowing they were in her care. She takes the time to give each pet the attention they need, making sure they feel comfortable, loved, and well cared for. Walks and playtime are always a priority for her; she often takes her own dog on three to four walks a day. There is no one I trust more to care for my pets than Melissa. She truly treats every animal as if they were her own.
Melissa is a great pet sitter. I have left my dog with her overnight several times. She gives me updates and pictures. Her dog is super friendly so it makes it fun and easy to play there in her Fenced in yard. I know she gives my dog walks while he is there as well. Would certainly recommend her.
Melissa has been great with taking care of my two dogs! She sticks to their schedule and follows all the care instructions that I leave behind. She ensures they get plenty of walks, runs, and belly rubs. It's so nice being able to go out of town knowing you have someone that treats your dogs like their own.
