I have always had pets and hold a special spot in my heart for senior animals ❤️ I currently volunteer to walk dogs in my neighborhood while their owners are at work. My skills include feeding, grooming, walking, giving medication, and creating a cozy and safe environment for your fur baby. When booking doggy daycare or boarding, my husband Michael is at home as well and can assist with care to ensure your pup is never left alone. This is ideal for separation anxiety.

❤️ My goal is for your pet to be as safe and cared for as if he or she were my own. 📷 I'm happy to take pictures of your pet having a good time! 🐈 🐕 Please let me know what your pet prefers and if there are any treats they cannot eat. I always like to bring a little treat with me when I first meet an animal. 🌳 It's for the best if I don't take your dog to an off-leash park (for a lot of reasons). 🏡 I can care for animals at my house. It has a fenced backyard and is safe.

Melissa was amazing with Misty! When Misty was not eating her usual food she even made her fresh food. I was always in the loop and couldn’t recommend Melissa more! We will definitely board Misty with her again!
Melissa was wonderful with our dog Deano and made us feel very comfortable leaving him. She arrived very early in the morning to make sure Deano was not alone when she left him. The house was incredibly clean when we returned and Deano was well cared for! Will definitely be working with Melissa again.
Melissa and Michael have been watching Bucky most Wednesdays over the summer. He's a senior, three-legged Lhasa Apso with moderate arthritis in his arm from doing 10 years of one-armed push-ups, so to speak. Regular dog daycare isn't really an option for him not just for accessibility reasons, but also because he doesn't really relax in that environment. As he's stayed at Melissa and Michael's, he's napped on the couch with Michael and fallen asleep on Melissa in the rocking chair. I'm sad the doggy daycare is discounted starting in October but grateful we have a couple more visits this September. Happy to recommend Melissa's gentle kindness to anyone with old dogs looking for their lap humans. 🐶

Schedule
Professionally, I was a health care executive for over 20 years and transitioned to consulting work. After deciding life is too short, I now enjoy walking cute pups and snuggling with cuddly kitties ❤️ Personally, I have a husband and an 18 year old son. My schedule can get booked quickly but if you need care urgently and are not seeing availability on my calendar, please send me a message and I'll do my best to assist.
