🐾 Creating a safe and loving environment for animals is at the heart of everything I do. My senior dog has taught me so much about patience, adaptation, and compassion — I’ve added ramps, a mobility sling, and even a custom wheelchair so he can still enjoy our fenced backyard and neighborhood walks. His dietary needs have changed over time, so I prepare small-batch, human-grade meals from scratch to keep him happy and healthy. He and his best friend, my roommate’s dog Valkyrie, are truly the lights of my life. That same attention to detail, empathy, and care is exactly what I bring to every pet I look after. Whether I’m staying at your home or taking your furry family on a walk, their comfort, safety, and happiness will always come first. ❤️

🐾 Every day with pets is a little different — and that’s what I love most! I tailor each visit or stay to match your pet’s personality, age, and energy level. For pups who love to move, we’ll enjoy neighborhood walks, backyard playtime, and maybe a game of fetch or tug-of-war. For seniors or shy pets, it’s all about slow strolls, gentle attention, and plenty of cozy nap time. There’s always time for cuddles, belly rubs, or just quiet companionship if that’s what they need most. I make sure every pet feels safe, seen, and loved — whether we’re exploring outside or relaxing at home together. ❤️

🐾 About Me Hi there! I’m a lifelong animal lover with years of hands-on experience caring for dogs of all ages, sizes, and temperaments. From high-energy pups to gentle seniors, I believe every dog deserves patient, reliable, and compassionate care. I have extensive experience handling large breeds, reactive and aggressive dogs, and seniors who need extra patience and support. I’m comfortable with administering daily medications, managing mobility issues, and providing the kind of steady companionship that helps dogs feel safe and loved. Training is an integral part of every interaction — I can reinforce your basic commands and utilize methods such as clicker training, e-collar (properly trained use), treats, and toy-based training to build trust and good habits. Whether we’re walking, playing, or just spending quiet time together, your pet will always be treated like family. As an owner of a 16-year-old mix-breed myself, I know how important your dog is to you — and I take that responsibility to heart. ❤️

This was our second time having Melissa stay with Zuzu, and it went just as well as the first time! Melissa is a great communicator and took good care of our house. She takes fantastic photos as well 😊 We'll definitely contact her again in the future.
First time I’ve used Rover for overnight sitting for my 11 and 13 year old weims but it won’t be my last! Melissa was amazing and Axel and Lulu adored her.
We loved having Melissa sit for Zuzu. She was great with communication and beautiful photos! She left our house in great shape and Zuzu loved her. We will definitely have Melissa sit for us again in the future!
