It's very important for me to know if your pet is on any medications, has any medical/health issues or allergies, that way I can be aware of anything to look for, treats they can't have, etc. Also please let me know of any behavior issues so I can make sure they are things I'm comfortable working with. I really appreciate honesty on this to ensure the safety of myself and your pet.
A typical day
Depends on what your pet likes to do! Their play time or exercise time is their time and it should be spent doing what they enjoy best. For dogs it could be a game of fetch or tug, a walk on a trail or just around the neighborhood, even doggie pool time or splash pads. For kitties it could be playing with their favorite toy mouse or wand toy, chasing after treats or just lounging on the couch. I'm there for them and what they want to do!

I have been watching family and friend's pets for quite some time now. This paired with my experience as a Veterinarian Assistant for about 15 years in different environments, I feel that I am very qualified and one of the best choices when it comes to choosing someone to take care of your pet(s). Whether that is for an overnight stay, a check in visit to make sure your cat is happy and has a clean box or for a fun walk on a trail with your pup, I'm your gal! I am well versed in giving medications, fluids, and injections, I'm not scared to clean up any mess your pet may leave behind, and I am quick to notice if something isn't quite right with them. I am comfortable with cats, dogs, pocket pets like guinea pigs, and I also have experience caring for chickens, small turtles, bearded dragons and some birds! I don't mind giving baths and some minor grooming like brushing or helping trim your pet's nails. I'll be your pet's favorite Aunt in no time!

Melissa was a great dog sitter for our furry friends this past weekend. She was attentive to all of the various quirks and medical requirements of the dogs, and was thoughtful about time outside when the weather was poor. She also handled an unexpected indoor potty break very sensitively, even doing a load of laundry to make sure each dog had a comfortable place to sleep. I highly recommend Melissa and will definitely look to her first the next time I need a sitter.
Melissa is such a thoughtful and wonderful cat sitter! She truly understands cats and was so wonderful caring for Jeremy. As he ages, he has new needs and quirks and she took all the info in stride and kept me fully updated. It’s a great relief to not be worried while away.
