Hi! My name is Melissa. I have been living in Virginia for 4 years with my 3 sweet children + 1 fur baby (cat). I worked at a local luxury dog hotel for some time and left to stay home with my newest baby to the family. I’m a natural nurturer and caretaker and am dog and cat first aid and cpr certified. I’m well versed in reading both cat and dog body language and am very mindful when it comes to creating a comforting, safe relationship with animals. I would love to drop in on your fur baby while you're away whether it's at work or on vacation. All funds I receive from pet sitting helps me to continue my education as a single mother raising 3 kids :) In my free time I enjoy playing with my kids outdoors and working out or cooking. I look forward to meeting you and your pet and becoming someone you can trust and rely on to care for your pet while you are away with work or travel. I am cat/dog CPR and first aid certified. I’m not afraid of large dogs and I know how to identify the warning signs of anxious or nervous pets. I am clean, timely and care about your pet’s safety and wellbeing while you’re away. The services I offer are: dog walking, home check ins and feedings, dog and cat care, and gentle hair brushing.

Melissa came to my house for a meet and greet and everything went well. But when It came time to show up for the agreed upon time, she didn't show up. I understand that emergencies come up, but taking the time to send a text letting me know so that I can find an alternative solution in time goes a long way. Which she did not do until more than 2 hours after the scheduled time. My dog had to go well past his normal potty break time because she didn't let me know she wasn't going to make it and so my husband had to leave work early to let him out.

Schedule
I’m currently working part time at a dog hotel. I’m available to care for your fur baby weekdays after 1:30pm and open on the weekends. I am looking for a small client base that I can develop a strong, reliable and trusting relationship with.
