I’ve always worked as a nanny in the uk and abroad but then a year ago I got my own puppy at the age of 8weeks old and over the last year I’ve really enjoyed being a dog mum so this has made me want to spend a little more time at home with my dog while having company for my dog to thrive even more. While working as a nanny for many years I have cared for the family household pets with this being a mix of cats and dogs. I have completed dog first aid and I also have a DBS on the update service.

Melissa was absolutely wonderful with Sky. She is very responsible, reliable, and caring, and we could see that she genuinely cared about him. She kept us updated and made us feel completely at ease while we were away, which meant we could enjoy our holiday without worrying about Sky. It was our first time leaving him for this long, so we were quite nervous, but knowing that Melissa was looking after him gave us so much peace of mind. Sky was happy and well cared for when we came home. We are very grateful for everything she did and would definitely trust her with Sky again. Melissa has been fantastic visiting my elderly cat whilst I’m away. Knowing she was so well looked after gave me peace of mind as I was worried about leaving her for so long. 100% recommended.
Melissa is fantastic with Rufus on his walks. Rufus really took to Melissa since their first meeting. She has gone out of her way include games and practicing training, so that Rufus gets the most out of his time with her.
I am delighted at how well Melissa looked after my Dexter. He had a wonderful time. Melissa kept me updated every day with pics and videos. Very happy and would not hesitate to use again.

Schedule
Since I got my own dog I took on temp agency nanny roles so I can work the hours and days that I want so i have the choice of working long hours or less on a weekly basis. I can have plenty of availability when needed either week days, weekends or overnight care too.

I have a open space in my house with patio doors that lead into a fenced back garden with room to run around the side of the house into a fenced front garden. I have a 1 year old very friendly and sociable Labrador so she will welcome cat friends and doggy friends.
Pets
A typical day
With my dog (Mabel) I enjoy going on long walks so I can take dogs out with my dog in the car to go to different places and explore places including the woods, beach, nature reserves and we also have a regular walking dog group that we meet with in a closed and gated field. We can also stop off in one of mine and Mabel’s favourite coffee shops for a pup cup. As well as physical health I like to make sure Mabel is mentally challenged so i also go out with her ball to play games and do regular training and games also at home she has some challenging activity toys that I try to provide each day.
