My name is Melissa and I have been a dog owner most of my life. I have also dog sat and taken care of others dogs for family, friends and co-workers. I have been told I have a way with dogs but I can definitely say that I have a patience with dogs and an obvious love for them. I have a fairly flexible schedule and would love to help you care for your pup. I have a 4 year old dog named Fitz that loves other dogs, so if socialising is a goal for you I can definitely help you there. I can also work with your dog on specific commands if they are currently in training. Can't wait to meet you and your loved family member.

Safety, trust & environment
When I am with the dogs I pay close attention to any details given by the owner(s). If they steer clear of other dogs, how they are with people, kids, if they are ok with people saying hi to their dogs etc. Especially during the summer months, I always have water on hand for walks or make sure water is given either before or after a walk (depending on the age of the dog and time before potential next walk). When dog sitting, I check if the dogs can be left alone at night and if they can I make sure to arrange my schedule so I can spend more time with them during the day. Otherwise dogs love sleepovers with me 😁. I make sure the space is comfortable temperature wise (again especially in the summer months), I keep an eye for any off behaviour and make to sure t o communicate if I notice things really out of the ordinary.

Both Gouda and Campbell are emotionally sensitive, so we love to come home to find them relaxed after their time with Melissa and Sarah. It’s obvious that they love our pups nearly as much as we do!
Melissa was absolutely wonderful! My puppy loved her. She responded back to me so fast and really gave me so many tips to get me through those first weeks of puppy life!
Melissa & Sarah have been lifesavers. They take care of my dog like he’s their own, not only making sure he’ safe, fed and walked but give him lots of love also.
Love using Melissa and Sarah for our weekly walks! I have a 4 month old puppy and they wear him out so that he naps for hours afterwards. They have such a way with dogs and are always showing love to my baby boy.
Melissa was an amazing dog sitter and walker. She was reliably on time and flexible when we needed to change our plans. We definitely will be calling her again in the future.

Schedule
While my schedule is fairly flexible I do work part time T-F and am typically unavailable after 12 noon. I will always check to see how much flexibility you have in regards to what services you are looking for and I strive to make sure that I am able to give your pup the proper time and care they deserve before I accept a request.
