I've cared for cats and dogs since I was a young child with interests in becoming a vet. Although I did not pursue that career path, I have 3 years experience as a Veterinary Assistant and many more years experience caring for and fostering special needs animals. Working with shelters as a trained foster pet-parent, I also have experience in socializing undersocialized and highly anxious pets. I currently live with my two special needs cats (Otis and Georgie). I also foster cats, so there may be other house-mates around.

We are so grateful to have found Melissa! We have multiple pets, including a dog who is paralyzed and requires specialized care, and she has been absolutely wonderful with all of them. She came over several times to learn his routine and make sure she could handle his unique needs, and she has been incredibly patient and kind—especially when helping him through his anxiety. It gives us such peace of mind knowing our pups are in such caring and capable hands. I can’t recommend her enough!

I currently work a flexible schedule that allows me to work from home. My schedule can usually be adjusted for pets that need more care.

I have cat/dog friendly cats that can keep your pet company, if they like to socialize. For shy cats that prefer solitude, I have a second room just for them!

A typical day
I would be happy to walk your dog and stimulate their minds with puzzle play at home. I live down the street from a leashed dog park, so your pup can play and meet other dogs if they enjoy socializing!
