Home full time - Love all dogs
I've always had a dog in the house from infancy. I've had dealings with Giant and small breeds. My husband, my son (9) & myself love meeting and looking after dogs. We've recently started fostering and that has been a very rewarding experience. We are not strangers to medical issues / special needs (we fostered a heart worm positive dog and pregnant dog with numerous complications). I love training and bonding with dogs. What Melissa would like to know about your dog
We are not breed selective as a family. Just like people, all dogs have individual personalities and it's about getting to know them and them getting to know us. To help this process, we would like to know:
Does your dog like other dogs?
Has your dog ever been around children? Small or older?
Does your dog like cats or other small animals (For example, are they likely to chase a squirrel if it's running up a tree while on a walk?)
Is your dog very energetic or quiet / shy?
Does your dog have any anxiety (For example: thunder, the vacuum?)
Is your dog a chewer or have any food aggression?
Are there any habits that you allow or don't allow in your house (For example, we don't want to allow the dog on furniture only for you to have to break that habit when you come back from vacation)?
Any other personality / behavior quirks you can think of (For example, "Can't resist shoes." ? I've lost on average 1 pair of shoes every year to the various does I've owned, fostered or taken care of. I get it, it's a dog thing. Forewarned is forearmed ?)
