I work in Montpelier until 3:00 pm so pets get exercise in the afternoons and weekends, and dogs get a lunchtime walk as well. I am around all of the time on weekends and all school breaks and all summer. Our house has many dog beds, crates, toys and treats.

Pet care experience
I am a very experienced pet owner in Montpelier - I have owned and loved alpacas, dogs, goats, cats, and backyard birds of all kinds. I have also done foster care of kittens and cats for CVHS. I'm available to provide a fun and loving spot to board your dogs. They will get attention, care, walks, and playtime with my 4 dogs and part time cat. I have a crate if needed, can be one level if mobility is an issue, am willing to administer meds and have no problem with puppies or senior pets. I am home all afternoon and evening and weekends and dogs get a lunchtime walk as well. I am available for boarding all of the time, but only showed weekends because that’s when I am home all day and evening. During the week dogs would still get a morning and lunchtime walk and care all afternoon and evening. I will send updates and photos throughout your dogs time with us - I am also available to pick up and drop off dogs for an additional fee. I am happy to do full day care to allow folks to go skiing or shopping or on full day outings as well.!

I can't think of anyone better than Melissa to be a pet sitter. I am her mother so the advantage is that I know her well and I witness daily the care she gives her pets- mostly dogs - but her daughter now has a cat who is treated like a princess. Melissa walks her dogs daily. Always on a leash where required but also has some special places where dogs can be unleashed. Pets are well fed, get treats (when they behave😂), have toys, warm beds, warm jackets. She would be the person that not only feeds, walks, pets but also genuinely cares about them. I have known Melissa for many years, first as my daughter's amazing 4th grade teacher and next as a fellow dog-owner and dog walking partner. Melissa always shows the utmost care for her dogs when walking, assuring that the course is accessible, that the dogs have appropriate tools for the weather (vests for the cold, etc.), and that their needs for safety and water are always met. Melissa is also simply a dog lover, which shows through her friendly interactions with all dogs we encounter on our walks. Melissa would be a great carer for your pet.
