I’ve had the pleasure of owning four dogs over my lifetime and have cared for many more. One of my dogs lived for 14 years. When dogs come to stay here I do my best to make that adjustment as easy as possible for them. I have experience with older dogs, and dogs with separation anxiety. I have a big backyard for running and playing, and also go for walks at least twice a day. My two kids are 11 and 15, have taken dog obedience classes, and also love to play with our pet visitors! Feel free to ask any questions about your dog’s upcoming stay with me!

We had such a great experience with Melissa. She took wonderful care of our boy and sent us updates and photos throughout the day, which was reassuring and made it easy to see that he was being well cared for and having a great time. He looked happy and comfortable in all of the photos, which really put our minds at ease. We would happily have her watch him again!
The BEST!!
Melissa was incredible with Ouzo and Veuve! She sent thorough daily check-ins and pictures while we were gone and it made me feel at ease knowing they were in good hands. She and her kids played with my boys ensuring they were loved on and entertained too! Highly recommend Melissa for any dog care needs! I will definitely be booking her again ◡̈ oh ps: the boys even ran out of food at one point and she took it upon herself to get them more! so sweet and someone who clearly loves the well-being of pets!

Schedule
Someone is almost always home at our place. We work from home and homeschool. We walk our own dog at least twice a day. We are morning people and like to take the dogs out in the morning, and then again after dinner.

We have a fenced in yard, and a nice neighborhood with many trails that are great for walking dogs . There is time for play in the backyard. We pay close attention to special needs and diets.

A typical day
We are a family that enjoys cuddling with our dog, and that includes your dog too, when he or she is ready! We love to play in our big backyard, as well as go on walks. We like to go on walks in our neighborhood. We have some nice trails nearby too when it’s not too hot.
