I've spent 10+ years caring for dogs of all sizes, ages, and needs, including seniors, special needs pups, and pets requiring oral or injected medication. I take that responsibility seriously and follow your routines to the letter. I'm based in San Diego and love exploring everything this city has to offer like beach walks, neighborhood trails, and Balboa Park, and your dog gets to come along for all of it. Since I have no pets of my own, your animal gets my complete, undivided attention from the moment they arrive. Melissa cared for our senior dog with an extensive medication list. She was conscientious and diligent in sticking to his med schedule several times a day. She was patient with his finicky appetite, and went as far as hand feeding him to be sure he got his nutrition. She took him for several walks a day. She provided us with updates and was enthusiastic and caring. She took great care of our home as well. I would highly recommend Melissa with the care of your pet!
Melissa is one of the sweetest people ever. She takes such great care of my two dogs and is so detailed when it comes to all the rules of having a new puppy. The pups and I are very grateful for her!
Melissa is such a wonderful dog sitter! She recently stayed with my two dogs at my house for a few days. My dogs are super sweet but it's not always easy as they have different diets and meds and she handled it all with ease. And gave the dogs lot of love and cuddles. She also did all the extra thing to keep the house neat, brought in the trash bins, etc. I had full confidence in her, will use her again and highly recommend her!

Melissa has been our dog and house sitter for the last 6 months and we want to sing her praises. We have trusted her with our home and our beloved Lab puppy who was a real handful in her youth. Melissa is completely trustworthy and our Lab adores her. We come home from a trip to a clean house, a watered garden, and a happy puppy. Melissa is experienced with training, commands, and consistency that young dogs need. She is energetic and gives our lab the work out that she requires including trips to the Mesa and the beach. Melissa is everything we need/want in a house sitter/dog sitter and we give her our highest recommendation without reservation.

Schedule
Pet care is a central part of my daily routine, not an afterthought. I have dedicated availability throughout the week and structure my days around making sure every animal in my care gets consistent attention, timely walks, and plenty of love. I am not juggling a busy office schedule or rushing home after a long commute. When your pet is with me, they are my priority and my day is built around them.

I follow your instructions exactly. Please send over your pet's routine, any medical needs, feeding schedule, and quirks and I will stick to it. I am experienced with medication administration both oral and injected, and comfortable with dogs who need extra care or patience. Your peace of mind matters as much as your pet's happiness.
A typical day
Mornings start with a potty break and some playtime, followed by a long walk to explore San Diego. I check in on what your dog loves and tailor the adventure to them. Afternoons include rest time, more play, and another walk. Evenings wind down with cuddles and whatever routine you've set at home. I send photo updates throughout the day so you always know your pet is happy and safe.
