Really glad to have booked Melissa for our first time using Rover. Great communication before, during and as needed after. Looked after our 2 young cats perfectly, and it lifted a huge weight from our heads as we were on holiday for the week. Watered, fed, littered and some treats across the week with daily photos. Will be booking Melissa again.
Melissa was an amazing pet sitter and took such great care of my two cats. From the start, she was attentive, reliable, and clearly loves animals. What impressed me most was that she managed to win over my very shy cat who normally hides from strangers, by the end, she was able to pet her! That alone says a lot about Melissa’s patience and gentle approach. I felt completely at ease knowing my cats were in such good hands. Melissa kept everything clean, followed all instructions, and made sure both cats were happy and comfortable. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring pet sitter, and I would happily hire her again.
Melissa was able to look after Pip at short notice. Pip was immediately at home in the garden playing with Melissa and her family. Photo update sent during the day when they were out on a walk - Pip had a great time and I would be happy to repeat the booking
Melissa is a lovely, considerate, and caring person who adores animals. Her love for cats and dogs is immense and when my sister and I travel abroad, she always seeks to help them by providing stray cats and dogs with food and affection. I believe she would be a very responsible and loving pet caregiver as she is someone who carries a lot of compassion to the vulnerable and is patient. Melissa has a lot of experience in taking care of animals as in the past she has looked after our cousins’ pets.
Melissa is an exceptional pet caregiver! She is reliable, kind, and truly loves animals. My pet always feels comfortable and happy with her. Melissa is very energetic and can get along with my dog easily. She did dogsittings and dog walkings for my dog Ollie. Highly recommend her services!

Pet care would fit well into my routine as I’m available Monday to Wednesday and on weekends. I have a flexible schedule on these days and can dedicate time to ensuring the pet’s needs are met, whether it’s feeding, walking, or providing company. In a pet owner’s home, I prioritise maintaining the pet’s routine to ensure they feel comfortable and cared for. I follow feeding schedules, provide fresh water, take them for walks or playtime, and ensure they have a safe, clean environment. I also give lots of attention and affection to make them feel at ease while their owner is away.
A typical day
I love tailoring activities to suit the pet’s personality, energy level, and needs. For dogs, I enjoy taking them on walks to explore new parks or paths and playing fetch For cats, I’ll spend time with toys they enjoy, like laser pointers, feather wands, or even creating fun hide-and-seek games with treats. If the pet is more relaxed, I’ll focus on providing cuddles, gentle companionship, and ensuring they’re comfortable. My goal is to keep pets active, mentally stimulated, and happy during my care!
