Work from home, huge pet lover!
I’ve always had a soft spot for animals—rescues, strays, seniors, you name it. Growing up, I was the kid bringing home lost dogs and stray kittens, and not much has changed since then. I still volunteer, donate, and make it a priority to give every pet in my care the love and attention they deserve. I work from home full-time and live with my husband who just lost his soul dog and loves to take care of other dogs too (even knows CPR!), two mini dachshunds, and our two newest additions—kittens who think they’re dogs and love to be part of the pack. It’s a fun, easygoing environment where pets get lots of love, playtime, and company. Because one of my dachshunds has had spinal surgery, I keep my guest list limited to dogs under 30 pounds—unless your pup is especially calm and low-key.

Melissa and her husband are the best Rover I’ve ever had. Literally if I could have dreamt up the perfect sitter, it would be them. I got so many updates which was perfect, and my 2 doxies fit in perfectly with their bunch. One of my dogs even fell in love with one of their cats. I felt so at peace having them there and even felt a little bad when I picked them up because I know they had so much fun!! Melissa cared for them like they were her own, and offered them endless snuggles. Her husband is so loving with the dogs as well. I can’t say enough good things about them! My new go-to sitter.
Mellissa gave excellent care to my pup and gave me frequent updates with photos. I highly recommend her for anyone needing their dog watched.
Melissa was wonderful. She updated us while we were gone consistently. Her home feels very safe and is very well kept. You can tell she loves her babies and she shows the same care for your dog. Will definitely be using her again!
We are so grateful to have found Melissa for her pet services! She has been caring for our pup Eevee with in-home doggie daycare during weekdays and providing a consistently fun, safe, and loving environment where Eevee could play, socialize, and get plenty of attention while we were at work. Melissa works from home, and her husband is often home as well, so Eevee was always in the care of kind, attentive people. Their home is truly a pet haven, with a spacious indoor area and a sizeable fenced-in backyard. Their own pets are a wonderful bonus — Cooper and Louis (mini dachshunds), Ringo (older mixed dog), and Frank & Charlie (2 kittens) — all of whom are friendly, well-socialized, and great with other animals. Eevee feels right at home and loves being a part of their pack. It’s been the perfect setting for our only-dog to build confidence and enjoy social time with different pets and personalities, instead of being home alone. Melissa’s communication is excellent with regular photo and text updates throughout the day. She is also very flexible and understanding with schedules. Overall, Melissa and her crew are a truly caring and trustworthy pet family. Eevee gets excited every morning going to “daycare” and can hardly contain her joy when we arrive. We've had total peace of mind knowing she’s in such good hands. Highly, highly recommend!
Highly recommend! We couldn’t be happier with Eevee’s first visit with Melissa. From the moment we dropped her off, we felt completely at ease. Melissa’s genuine love for animals is immediately clear, and she went above and beyond to create a safe, supportive space for our pup. Eevee can be shy in new settings, but Melissa’s friendly demeanor and the supportive environment with her own dogs helped her settle in beautifully. We could tell from the thoughtful photo updates and messages that Eevee was not only cared for but also enjoyed herself. She got the perfect mix of cuddles, supervised play, and rest, all while building social confidence in a safe environment. Melissa is everything we hoped for in a sitter: responsive, kind, and clearly passionate about animals. We’ve already scheduled recurring daycare visits thanks to the amazing care Eevee received.
Couldn't be more pleased with the nicest couple EVER! Chex was so well cared for, even pampered! I had no worries at all.

Schedule
I’m home all day, every day—so your dog will never be left alone or bored. We head out to our fenced yard every couple of hours for fresh air and playtime, and there’s a quiet neighborhood park just a few houses away for walks.

This is a laid-back, pet-friendly home where your dog will be treated like one of the family. Pets are allowed on furniture, get to roam freely indoors, and yes, cuddles on the bed are totally welcome (unless you'd prefer otherwise). I send regular updates with photos and videos so you’re never left wondering how your pup is doing. Whether it’s naptime, fetch in the yard, or snuggling with my crew, I make sure every guest feels relaxed, happy, and safe. Plus, your dog will get to hang with my friendly, well-socialized pets—including two curious kittens who love to join the fun.

A typical day
Working from home makes it easier to mix it up but we usually hang in the backyard or go on nice short and long walks when weather is nice, play around the house and lay on the couch to watch tv.
