I've had a love for animals my whole life & have spent the last 5 years working as a dog groomer. During that time I've cared for dogs ranging from energetic puppies to seniors who need a little extra patience & support. I'm Pet First Aid & CPR certified. I've worked with puppers who have special needs, including allergies, mobility challenges, heart murmurs, brachycephalic breeds, & other health concerns. I've been trained on critical & non critical signs of stress, so I know when things are concerning & always keep pet parents informed. I'm also comfortable handing nervous, reactive, & challenging dogs.

While caring for pets, my priority is making them feel safe, comfortable, and loved, while keeping their routine as consistent as possible. Before each stay, I'd love to learn about your pets, so I can provide personalized care that feels familiar. I'll carefully follow instructions for meals, walks, potty breaks, and any other routine your pet relies on beyond meeting their basic needs. I want their time with me to feel like a vacation. That means extra playtime, enrichment, belly rubs, cuddles, and plenty of 1 on 1 attention. I'll also keep you updated with photos and messages, so you can relax, knowing your pet is happy, safe, and having a great time while you're away.

Melissa has done an excellent job of pet-sitting our cat, Kiki. She is reliable and pays very close attention to the guidance we provide to her. When we have traveled, she has dropped by when we asked and spent as much time as needed with Kiki. When we return home Kiki seems very happy. Melissa is very easy to communicate with with and can be counted on to exercise great care when she has taken care of Kiki. We would gladly use her anytime we need someone to watch our cat.
Melissa was very professional and what can I say my dogs loved her. I highly recommend her if you are looking for a trusted person to look after your fur babies.

Schedule
I currently work remotely, which gives me a very flexible schedule & allows me to dedicate plenty of time & attention to any pet in my care. Aside from the occasional errand, I'm available to spend most of the day with your pet, keeping them company and maintaining their normal routine. I offer drop in visits overnight, stays and extended care. I'll make sure your pet gets plenty of exercise, enrichment, affection and 1 on 1 time while you're away.
