Dog Mom to three beautiful mixed-breed rescue dogs: Izzy (10) Staffy mix, Sadie (3) Dachshund mix, Monica Lewinsky (2) Chihuahua mix. Throughout my time owning Izzy in NYC and NJ, I've worked with multiple trainers & behaviorists to better understand reactive/sensitive dogs. I'm well versed in reading body language, avoiding triggering situations, and reinforcing good behavior. All the dogs in the neighborhood know I have treats on me at all times!

Melissa kept us updated all day long and was accommodating with the hours we needed. She treated our Junie like her own dog and she had a blast.
Melissa and her husband Ian are both very responsible, attentive dog owners/watchers. They have watched my dog, Chester, on many occasions and I've never had any issues. They've also welcomed an adopted dog into their home, spoiling her with homemade treats and working with her on her anxiety and fear issues. She's come a long way, thanks to them! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for dog care.

Schedule
I'm working freelance so I have nearly full availability currently. My dogs get three 30+ minute walks a day plus backyard + basement play sessions.

Safety, trust & environment
I'm not accepting boarding at this time but safety would be my top priority when caring for your pet in your home or neighborhood. This includes double door systems, ensuring collar/harness is applied properly, and always being alert on walks. (I don't use my phone on walks so I can be actively present!)

I love incorporating play, training, and enrichment in my dog's daily lives! That might mean making up a silly game with a toy or creating a puzzle out of recycling.
